Pretty blah episode - Russell Crowell seems incompatible with the rhythms of live television, or comedy for that matter.
My first time hearing (and hearing of) Margo Price - very cool, but does that lady love to knock 'em back!

Highlight of the show was Margot Price...and I am not a fan of c/w music.

Yeah, Price was on Colbert a couple months ago, way before her album even came out, and made a memorable impression there. She's good country.

I don't think I've ever seen a host be such a small number of sketches!

Wasn't in the cold open (most hosts aren't), wasn't in the Al Sharpton one, wasn't in the preparation H commercial, wasn't on Update (again, host seldom are) and wasn't in the Chuck E Cheese parody. and add to that two musical guest songs. i think Russell Crowe worked maybe a total of 20 minutes tonight lol

WTF was that Kyle Mooney segment at the end of Weekend Update?!?! The studio audience couldn't even muster up their usual uncomfortable-nervous-laugh for it. Dead air for almost two minutes... brutal.

Yeah, that was one of the most uncomfortable moments in SNL history. Wow!

I'm going to assume you guys are joking. It was supposed to be uncomfortable. That's the whole point of that character. Probably my favorite part of the show and overall a solid episode. I hadn't heard of Margo Price before and I'm baffled that in 2016 there are people listening to music like that but to each their own.

I thought for the sketches he did do he killed especially that Match Game sketch lol.

Dinklage and Crowe both excelled and maybe they should get more serious dramatic actors to host who you don't expect to be funny lol.

I liked this episode.

Was it also supposed to be unfunny?

I'm not either, but her debut album (on Jack White's label) is getting rave reviews. It just came out 2 weeks ago, and she's already on SNL.

Very good stuff. Just watched a bunch of live clips of her on YouTube. I'm buying the record.

Seriously? Good music is good music, regardless of genre or style.

It was supposed to be uncomfortable/funny, but it was just uncomfortable.

It was supposed to be meta-uncomfortable, but it was just uncomfortable because the bit missed. Big time. I like Kyle Mooney, but that shit was pathetic.

Yes. He's an unfunny comedian who doesn't know he's unfunny. That type of uncomfortable humor isn't for everyone.

This was the worst episode of SNL in years...and that's really saying something.

I liked the Hilary cold open, the German Sex Professor in the dating game and absolutely nothing else. Yikes.

Yeah, it's Kyle Mooney, an unfunny comedian who doesn't know that he isn't funny playing an unfunny comedian who doesn't know he isn't funny.

The reason it's cringey is because Kyle Mooney is just as lame as the comedian he's playing.
