A really memorable/iconic moment in the comics ruined by a cliffhanger, but it was expected for a while.

Well,
But, it's a pretty crappy ratings ploy to do it this way. Now, instead of everyone talking about what happened, you get a lot of frustrated fans instead.
Oh, and Morgan looks like he'll do well with Negan (although it's a shame they had to tone down his language).

They only showed like one or two shots of her so it was easy to miss.
This episode was titled Something to Fear but was changed about two weeks ago. I'm going to guess they saved the title for next season. I can't believe they went with Last Day on Earth since only one person died and we have no idea who.
Also, Laura Cohen just stated on TD that the actors don't even know who was killed off yet. You have to wonder what these actors have been going off about having nightmares shooting this episode.

It's weird to have a season finale ep where fans will be freely be able to talk about it on twitter/facebook/etc and not risk spoiling anything (because, really, what's there to spoil about this ep? nothing ....)

The way this show has gone, it will probably be Aaron. Talk about disappointment. I do know Kirkman has mentioned regretting what he did in the comics with Abraham, because he could have had some awesome interactions between he and Neegan. I also think it has to be one of the males, because how could any of the women taken more than one shot and still be on their knees? Neegan swung at least three times before the person went black.

Yeah not unexpected, but terribly bullshitish.
Not sure I'll watch next season, but I'll at least check in to see who it was. So lame.

I'm thinking Aaron, too. Seems like the only reason for him to tag along in the RV was to act as a goat.
With him and Denise dead, that means gay is the new black.

I'm going with Abraham. He had his goodbye moment with Eugene and they've really spent the season laying the groundwork on improving the likability of his character. A complete hunch though.

It has to be Aaron. I'm just having a hard time seeing a season premier starting off with the death of a major character.
It really is a shame because I was eagerly awaiting the death of a major character to show what kind of a destructive threat Negan is to the group (The show REALLY needs a shake-up with it's lead characters by this point too) If it really is Aaron, then Negan has already turned out to be nothing more than a Governor-clone...And I wanted him to be so much more than that.

That speech just dragged on and on. This was the first time when I thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan wasn't very convincing as an actor.
It was a gutless move by the showrunners to end it with that shot. I started expecting it when I realized Negan's speech was taking forever and there wouldn't be enough time left in the episode to show the others' reactions to the death.
I had actually thought the back half of this mini-season had been some of the best TWD in years, so ending it like this is a cheap move by AMC and the producers.
I'm thinking Michonne gets killed.
