Thought it was one of the best eps of the season. Will wait till more people check in for further discussion.

Pretty predictable but I liked it. Kendra and Palmer's love affair was done poorly. I thought they would try to use the other time ship but I guess they are just leaving it in 1960.

I did not see that reveal coming. The relationship between Atom and Hawkgirl was handled very, very oddly. I've seen time jumps like that in other entertainment but I don't remember seeing it used for a romance on television. Then they had Kendra start acting strangely to Ray when the Waverider showed up again.
A good episode but this show is nothing like I imagined it would be. |
Re: DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S1E09) -- "Left Behind" -- 3/31/16
Interesting that Talia al Ghul is now part of the verse. I wondered when or if they'd ever allow that.

Once snart was taken I sort of suspected who Chronos was. Cool reveal nonetheless.

Even more interesting is that Talia would be ~60 now, quite a bit older than Batman.

I suspect Talia was included as an easter egg and nod to fans. You could explain her age away with Batman by using the ever handy Lazarus Pits.

Lazarus Pit? Maybe this Talia hooks up with the campy 1960's Batman? |
Re: DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S1E09) -- "Left Behind" -- 3/31/16
Aside from Ray and Kendra's romance being awkward, thought this was one of the better recent episodes.
 Finally, a Firestorm sighting. Rory turning against the team and being revealed as Chronos was kind of cool. Curious to see how they can change him back. Seems like he has a lot of rage in him. Pleasantly surprised to see Ra's al Ghul again. I guess Talia is supposed to be an Easter egg for those familiar with the comic character. |

I thought they only used the Pit when you were close to death? AFAIK Talia eschewed the Pit anyways (at least in the iteration I remember).

Re: DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S1E09) -- "Left Behind" -- 3/31/16
So what exactly is the point of the League of Assassins? Do they get hired to kill people? Just a bunch of murderers formed a club? While it isn't known among most people, govts organizations like ARGUS know about it. Why don't they do something about it. Nuke the temple or something. They are nothing more then a terrorist organization.
Also, where is Nanda Parbot? I've thought it is in the Himalayas or something. |
Re: DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S1E09) -- "Left Behind" -- 3/31/16
They are an internationally known cabal of professional assassins for hire. If you need a hit, you call them up. They are ISIS for assassins.
They were thinking of the fabled Shangri-La in Tibet when they invented Nanda Parbot for DC Comics. A popular novel and movie in the 1930s made the fictional place an item of interest for several decades in Pop culture. |

Deadman resides in Nanda Parbat.

Heh, Snart could've first tried freezing the handrail then whacking it with the gun to shatter it.

I enjoyed seeing the League again in LOT
also hated the forced romance, its not the interracial aspect, they just don't have the chemistry overall this show is fun |
