Watching this w/ the wife. It's put me to sleep more than once.

The lead actress's eyes are getting on my nerves, as are some of the expressions she makes.

I didn't know that she is the wife of Alan Ruck, who guest-starred in the second or third ep.

Yep. That's exactly what convinced me it would be pointless to continue to watch this show.

Count me as another one who gave this show a shot but didn't stick with it. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it just didn't give me enough to feel it warranted me continuing to watch it.

Hmmm, was wondering about this show. It seems it's a bust.

Peter Krause seems to be the Shelly Long for this generation...a show killer.

I'm most distracted by the bad face job Enos had. Should've left it alone. Thankfully not as horrible as Marcia Cross on Quantico.

Did not know that either until I saw her on Late Late Show with James Corden

I'm distracted by whatever Peter Krause has done to his face. A bit too heavy on the botox and fillers.

What makes you say that? He's been on five consecutive shows that ran for at least two seasons. I can't think of another actor who has done that.

Sports Night - 2 seasons.
Six Feet Under - 5 seasons.
Dirty Sexy Money - 2 seasons.
Parenthood - 6 seasons.
The Catch - At least two seasons.

I stuck with it and really enjoyed it.

Glad it's coming back.

Re: The Catch (ABC) -- Series Thread -- S: Mireille Enos, Peter Krause

According to TV Line, "The Catch" is returning, but as an (almost) entirely different show. According to EP Alan Heinberg: “The show really is a romantic comedy at its heart and we embraced it.”

To that end, a fundamental element of the series — the cases of the week — have been overhauled. “I was realizing that these cases were not allowing me to spend as much time getting to know the characters as I really wanted to, and they were crowding out some of the soap [opera] I wanted to do,” Heinberg explained.

Peter Krause characterized the quasi-Season 2 reboot thusly: “It’s an adult Scooby-Doo sex farce.”

Meh, I don't see this doing any better after a reboot. Dead before it airs, IMO.

Probably true. Most shows don't survive when they're brought back like this, and I just don't find the leads compelling, particularly for this "Lite" version. Careful "slotting" may be it's only hope.

IT'S A NEW DAY AND A NEW DEAL ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC'S 'THE CATCH'

How will Alice and Ben game the system - and each other - to stay together and overcome their less-than-legal pasts? The highly anticipated season two premiere of "The Catch" airs THURSDAY, MARCH 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network.
