The tackling dummy robots - rotfl. Best thing on the show!
The opening credits are SO embarrassing. They are somehow actually worse LA-themed opening credits than Episodes (but it's still close). |

Only a doofus like Kenny Britt could flip over his buggy.

Kenny Britt is Josh Gordon dumb.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Ive seen every season of Hard Knocks. Its been in steady decline for years. But this season is easily the worst. The most in depth we got with a veteran was Keenum's wife reciting plays to him. I didnt get to know or care about any of these players and Jeff Fisher is a mope.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
It is pretty tough to care much about this team and the show isn't making it any easier. I used to check in on the featured team's preseason games because it would add depth to watching the next episode of the show, but I just can't make myself sit through more than a handful of minutes of Rams games.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
I just found out this week that Rams center Eric Kush is from my area and went to the same college I went to graduate school at (I was there much earlier however). His wife really looks familiar, so that's what sparked my interest. I guess she graduated from the same college as well.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
So the big cliffhanger going into the finale is whether Seau's nephew, or the 2 rookie receivers (Hill and McRoberts) make the team. Seau's nephew has looked very raw in talent. I doubt he makes the team.
I do enjoy seeing Hill's little daughter and her interactions with her Dad. Cut day did seem so laid back. I do enjoy listening to Gregg Williams. He's definitely one of the more memorable personalities. |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Spoilers for the Hard Knocks season finale:
Austin Hill Eric Kush Ian Seau were all cut today Bummer about Hill and Kush. I know Kush was trying to land a job so he could move his family to LA. Hill's daughter will probably be thrilled that her Daddy will be home more often, although unemployed. I'm guessing McRoberts beat him out slightly for that WR spot after having a TD catch in the last preseason game. |

Congratulations LA, it's your fucking train wreck now. I will miss having a St.Louis team to root for, but then I guess we really haven't had one for a long time.
I've never seen the show, but I'm half tempted to seek this out somehow. Sounds hysterical! |

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
All the Rams cuts from yesterday. The guys I highlighted in bold were featured prominently on the show.
http://www.therams.com/news-and-even...8-783512f449de In order to reach the NFL-mandated 53-man roster limit, the Los Angeles Rams made the following transactions Saturday: Waived: T Isaiah Battle (Clemson) DB Christian Bryant (Ohio State) LB Brandon Chubb (Wake Forest) TE Justice Cunningham (South Carolina) DT Morgan Fox (Colorado State Pueblo) DB Rohan Gaines (Arkansas) RB Aaron Green (TCU) WR Austin Hill (Arizona) CB Mike Jordan (Missouri Western) DB Jordan Kovacs (Michigan) C Eric Kush (California, PA) LB Cameron Lynch (Syracuse) RB Terrence Magee (Louisiana State) WR Paul McRoberts (Southeast Missouri State) DB Marcus Roberson (Florida) DE Ian Seau (Nevada-Reno) DB Jabriel Washington (Alabama) WR Duke Williams (Auburn) Terminated Contract: LB Akeem Ayers (UCLA) DT Cam Thomas (North Carolina) |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Wait wasn't Ayers a starter at linebacker? Was he that expensive?

He was a surprise cut. |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Watched the finale tonight.
Pretty low key. I was kind of hoping for a little more drama with final cuts. They never addressed Akeem Ayers getting cut and he was the biggest surprise cut of camp. Glad that Kush landed on his feet right away. McRoberts saved himself by getting that practice squad spot by having a semi-decent game vs. the Vikings. They said the salary for a Practice squad player is $7,000 per week. I could totally live on that. Austin Hill seems like a good guy and I wish him well. But, the Rams WR coach didn't seem too impressed with him. I'm glad the season was only 5 episodes. After watching this team on this show, they aren't the most interesting personalities that make good TV. Fisher is way too laid back and low key. I actually found his assistant coaches more entertaining. |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Boring season, boring team. The team feels leaderless...even with great players like Donald and Gurley.
The Rams were the right pick for this season based on the hoopla but the application fell flat. |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
The Niners kicked their asses!
The same old sorry ass Rams and "We are not going to have that 7-9 bs" :) All the seasons are only 5 episodes long. Maybe nobody agrees to do it in 2017 and they draw names from a hat and pick the Patriots. |
Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Belichick would never allow cameras that kind of access to their camp.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Los Angeles Rams (HBO)
Interesting. If they don't make the Playoffs, I'd like to see the Saints or the Colts next season. Both could be entertaining watches.
Not everyone comes off bad on this show. Last year, Bill O'Brian came off really well and earned a lot of new fans (including me), and they won their Division. But it did show Jeff Fisher to be the underachieving egomaniac we all thought he was. He will be gone by the Bye week. |

Rams offense is just completely inept. Mind blowing they entered this season with Keenum as starter. Even just as a placeholder for Goff, it was moronic. And Goff himself doesn't look like starter material at all. |
