I liked the premiere, but the one thing that has always bothered me about this show is the lack of "Previously On" segments. Would it kill them to remind me what happened last year?!

Are you talking about Shaw? She was seen in last season's finale and it was widely reported that she was coming back.
Good start to the final season. Glad that it picked up right where the finale left off.
Loved Root talking to the Machine...."You can call me Root, Bitch!"

This accidentally got deleted from my DVR. It's not on demand of course it's not on Hulu. I had to sign up for free trial of All Access just to see it.

The episode is free on the CBS site; there's also a version of the season opener with commentary.

Finally got to the 2 episodes that aired last week.
Wow, surprised no one else bothered to chime in. Both of them were pretty awesome.
at the Machine going haywire in the 1st episode. I loved how it created all the characters playing different roles like Reese playing Fusco, Root playing Harold etc. That got a laugh out of me. The female assassin that went after Reese was pretty badass.
2nd episode was also good. I've always liked Keith David and he was a great nemesis to Reese. It was also nice seeing Annie Parisse back as Reese's old partner.
Root looked good as the delivery girl and I also liked the school girl outfit she wore.
Looks like Shaw will be back in the picture this week.

It's gotten off to a good start for which I am glad. I was scared POI would go off the rails with this being its confirmed last season. Jim Caviezel is slowly morphing into a pudgy Steven Seagal.

Girl on girl action.
Nice to see Elias didn't kick the bucket, even if it was a bit ridiculous he is alive. Cool way to incorporate real technology of a shotseeker device to use by Samaritan as more information coming in.

The producers are definitely not phoning it in this season, which often happens on canceled shows.
The aforementioned sex scene felt like a parody from another series, which was one clue not everything was what it seemed in the episode.

I liked Elias but don't see the point of having alive unless he's important at the end.

Moonves also highlighted the increased importance of owning shows as "the international market is exploding" and domestic SVOD services have spent on license deals. All that means that companies can make “pretty tremendous” amounts of money if they own a show, he said. "The value of content is so much greater than it was before. Having ownership is a huge, huge difference, and it does effect everything we do. A show that's 100 percent owned will generally get a better time period."
He mentioned that this also affected fall TV schedule choices, as the CBS-owned Elementary was renewed, but Warner's Person of Interest was canceled.
Elementary made an about profit of $80 million last year, Moonves said, while the company broke even on Person, "because Warner Bros got all that additional revenue." Out of CBS' six new shows for fall, CBS fully owns three, 70 percent of one and 50 percent of the remaining two. He said others do the same, saying Fox and ABC only don't know one show each out of their new fall additions.

I won't call Nikita a clunker. It was a solid series. I'm not sure about Asia but it was popular in Europe especially France and the Netherlands.

I was referring to then-current ratings. Nikita was one of CW's lowest rated shows during its run (excluding then-freshman shows). For example, during Nikita's second season over 2011-2012, it was getting ratings around 0.4 demo (ie. 18-49 live+same day). In contrast, the aging Supernatural season 7 which was right after Nikita on Fridays during 2011-2012, was getting ratings around 0.7 demo.

I wasn't referring to the writing/production quality of the show. Nikita was a well produced show. I still watch the bluray sets every now and then.
