Wong has nailed Hugo Strange to a tee. They need to keep him around as a permanent cast member.

Mr. Freeze's origin had very slick storytelling for network television. For what could have been a hokey villain origin story, both actors invested the Frieses with real humanity. It was handled about as well as a character like Mr. Freeze can be handled.

The Mr. Freeze origin story was handled extremely well. Looking forward to how he fits into the series going forward. Strange has also been an awesome addition to the series. Even the scenes with Bruce have improved and are starting to feel like we are getting close to him begin the Batman character that will fit into this series.

Hopefully Fish will fit in better with the series than her initial run. If she is not the focus it could work. But sadly it could also fail big time simply because of the actress has not changed.

I'm also intrigued to see where they are going with this new Penguin story line. Hopefully they also get Nygma going fill Ridler soon. And shouldn't the Scarecrow be coming back at some point?

Not a regular viewer, but Wong fucking killed it as Hugo Strange.

Was that Galavant in the water during the last scene?

Sadly, yes. Not sure if the actor has confirmed either way if he is coming back or not. There have been similar shots of Fish and it's been confirmed that actress is coming back.

Ugh. I knew Fish was coming back, which is bad enough. Why him too?

I don't understand why, because as far as I can tell she was wildly unpopular among fans of this show.

Not all fans. I've seen many that loved her character. But obviously she has a Love her or Hate her type thing going on.

Good Ep. Agree that Wong is a great Strange.

ITA. The name recognition factor was a reason to bring her in initially. But given how badly the characterswas received, leave her dead! The show has improved many times over since her death.

Fish Mooney served her purpose. I really don't see what else she can offer the show.

I thought the Galavan character and storyline was worse than Fish Mooney.

I didn't mind Galavan as much as Fish. She was terrible.

It looked like it was a few Galavan clones in the bacta tanks, unless those were just other dead guys. I didn't get a good look. It did seem like some had missing limbs.

I thought Fish was fine in her first few episodes but she wore out her welcome as the season progressed. The show definitely wants a female villain around but it's tough since Batman's primary female villains are Catwoman and Poison Ivy, who are children on this show.

Her return better be short. If she sticks around very long I'm pretty sure I'll end up dropping the show.

Yeah, I went back and watched that scene again and I think they are clones, but the third one looked like it was missing/growing a hand... so is Strange growing clones... or was that Butch (the only character I know that is missing a hand, but it didn't look like him)?

While the first and third tanks were definitely Galavan looking clones, second tank looked like it could be someone else. To me it appeared as the person/clone in the second tank had a different hair color unless it was just a lighting issue.

why go backwards and bring Fish back ?

I don't like all these characters coming back from the dead, it really cheapens any death which does happen on the show

I don't think they're clones. Wouldn't make sense if they were clones in the banks for them to have injuries such as the scratches on Galavan's face and what looks to be a bullet hole in his chest. And not only is Butch still alive, but he doesn't seem to be of the caliber of the rest to warrant resurrection.

The first one is obviously Galavan. The second one looks like Jerome to me - the hair color and style give it away as does the skin color. I don't know who the third one is, but I don't think it's Galavan. The fourth one is female, but I don't know who it could be.

Yeah, I just saw a screenshot, and they aren't clones. The second does look like Jerome. I also saw a screen from the mid season finale where it showed Fish in one of the tanks. So it would appear he's collecting villains.

Is that confirmed?

Spoiler:
Galavan belongs to the Order of Saint Dumas, but Galavan seems to have nothing in common with Azrael or Jean Paul Valley other than that.

When I saw the bodies in the tanks at the end of the episode, it made me think of the classic Golden Age comic "Hugo Strange and the Monster Men." I think that is probably more likely what is happening.
