Good episode, but I kind of rolled my eyes at the end. I assume this will be explained next week, but how did those people get the drop on Rick and his crew? The Saviors had no idea Rick's group existed, much less that they would plan a middle of the night attack...do they always have a group of people hiding in the woods every night to surprise people in the event something like this happens? Do they have a hidden outpost somewhere that heard the fire alarm?
Again, these are rhetorical questions, but I hope a plausible explanation is given.

Looked like Morgan was making a prison cell.
The fact that the one bunk had pictures of all the dead people, who had died in the same manner, makes me think they were fans of Negan instead of being his main crew.

It was straight up murder. The sleeping people hadn't done anything to the group. It was pretty brutal to just stab them like that. I've never really given a second thought when they kill bad guys but the raid was actually making me squirm a bit. You don't normally see the heroes of a story do something like that.

I could see them killing off Maggie just so they don't have to deal with yet another baby on the show. A couple of seasons ago the prospect of her death would have upset me (mildly) but she's been such a dopey non-factor for awhile now that I really don't see it as any great loss.

Wow, that was intense. I had a knot in my stomach for the entire last half of the episode. Really well done.

I like how the bad guys chased Glenn and the other guy to the armory. As if once they were inside, they could stop them.

Not at night with a low field of vision with who knows how many zombies around. Too risky. Building a platform along a wall or having watch towers behind barricades would be more "prudent"

Even though we still have to wait even longer to be introduced to Negan and whoever Lucille is, I thought this episode was a complete home run.

It was a great episode. I had quite a bit of anxiety watching it. It's pretty plausible that several people got out or was a roaming patrol. They missed the guy on the bike and had no idea there was even an exist there. Maybe that guy stayed behind to get the bike while the other got out quicker on foot?

But, really, my gut instinct tells this place they attacked wasn't the Sanctuary (the Savior headquarters where Negan lives), it was just an outpost.
Think of what happened last night as Japan attacking Pearl Harbor.

How is it so many of the grassy areas still seem to be freshly mowed despite it being several years since this ordeal began? This show is bullshit!

Maggie and Carol getting captured was absolutely ridiculous and made even worse by how badly it was telegraphed. "I'm going to guard the perimeter." "I AM GOING TO STAY HERE TO KEEP PREGNANT LADY SAFE.." "I'm going to go in and help them." "I AM NOT GOING TO ALLOW THAT. INSTEAD WE SHALL STARGAZE AND STAY SAFE." Carol and Maggie aren't rookies. They're supposed to be on guard, but that doesn't drive the story forward. I hate when plot trumps character. But shit, I'm still watching and enjoying the show, and I don't come in these threads to bitch. I truly loved 95% of the episode.
