Sam Bee’s show has been ****y itself. I think her commentary is too acidic and confrontational. It goes beyond what I see on The Daily Show or Bill Maher. There are some good bits here and there. But that’s about it.

I was surprised by that as well. Late night shows can throw out some swears now but I didn't think c--- was included. At least, not in this country/

I just double checked the recording my DVR did of the first airing of the show and it WAS bleeped out.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that it is not required to censor language on "cable" stations now. AHS Cult used the C word multiple time as well as the F word.

Also those examples were children at the time, or at least under age. Ivanka is a grown woman. Now if it was Barron, then I'd say you'd have an appropriate comparison.

She also "works" for his administration so she is fair game. Plus the language that Samantha Bee used just proves that she is qualified to be Trump's successor as President.

There’s no comparison between what Trump says or what Roseanne tweeted but I was surprised Sam used the C-word. It was a bad decision and I’m glad she apologized. Although she was absolutely right about Ivanka.

There's no way she didn't say it on purpose, full well knowing she would just make an apology the next day. Her show isn't live like Bill Maher. She did it to prove a point. How can Roseanne/Trump supporters get on her case without being outed as complete hypocrites?

I'm not sure I believe that. She's said much worse about other people. I think they just all happen to be male, and we Americans get our panties into a tight bunch for the c-word for some reason. Also, the right is looking for any easy whataboutism right now to deflect from Roseanne. I'm also sure she didn't want to make the apology that has obviously been forced on her by the network.

The takeaway from this is most here seem to think it is OK to call some one a C@@t and are glad she did it. DVDtalk never fails to amaze. Nice.

I just don't understand the obsession with that word. It's interchangable with Dick or Asshole and is used as such abroad, but for some reason we're obsessed with it being substantially worse here. Growing up it wasn't used much but it never stood out.

It was unnecessary, but I don't get the hoopla.
