Very bizarre, but hilarious episode.
at the Lizard man making up the story about banging Scully.
Mulder: "That did not happen"
This was a good callback to the quirky episodes the show did in the past.

Holy shit, that was fantastic. Took me back to the great X-files episodes that aren't put-me-to-sleep mythos-centric.
I seriously want more of that if they come back for another episode run. That was the x-files I knew and loved.

Great episode. So funny, and like others have mentioned, it's very much in line with other funny episodes of the series' past. I would love to see it come back, but I just don't see the actors wanting to do full seasons anymore. Maybe they'd be willing to do more limited episode runs like this. Both the leads look great for their age (it's not like they're "old" by any means).

Yeah, that was great. Rhys Darby can be a bit hit & miss for me, but he was used pretty well here.
And if anyone cares, Kumail Nanjiani, the guy who played the animal-control/serial killer has a great X-Files podcast where he and guests (including Files actors and creators) talk in depth about episodes, and being a comedian, it can be pretty funny too.

My co-worker picked a bad time to watch her first ever episode. I had to explain to her why it was so awesome.

Love that the guy was dressed like Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Tranny Prostitute: "They didn't believe me, they said I was on crack."
Mulder: "Were you?"
Tranny Prostitute: "Yeah."

"Murray!"
Fun episode.
Regarding callbacks, I was hoping they'd revisit either Eugene Tooms (Actually, I forgot he was killed), or the creepy incest family with the mother under the bed.

I just don't get this show. Is it slapstick comedy? Is it serious drama?
I had no idea this show was so schizophrenic, especially in 3 episodes.
Just bizarre acting and Anderson seems to be perpetually sedated...

Did you ever watch the show in the past? This type of episode is trademark quirky X-Files. They tend to mix quirky with serious.

This mini-season has basically, so far, condensed a normal 22 episode season into 6, so the shifts in tone are probably more drastic, especially to a newcomer.

Yeah, you'd have some episodes that were humorous (Small Potatoes), others that were straight-up satire (Jose Chung's From Outer Space), and some that were somewhere inbetween (Bad Blood).

Wow, what a start.
Couldnt ask for a better mid winter treat then this show.
Hope we get another blast of 10 next year. Mulder and scully are looking good!

He had previously interviewed Darin about his past episodes, which is probably how he got cast for his role in this episode.
