This does seem interesting and I like a few of the actors in it. But, I have a feeling, especially in this forum, this is going to get buried, unwatched and unnoticed by most here.

Ryan Hurst does seem perfectly cast as a Grizzly Adams/Mountain Man.

Watched it. Wish I didn't. So disjointed and the acting was so sub par and forced. Too bad, was hoping it would be better.

As it should. The pilot was pretty bad.

I'm on episode 4 and so far I like it. It's not even close to TCM/Hills have eyes/wrong turn. Not sure where that thought came from. Not sure where anyone would think it's disjointed either. It's a simple story line. Farrell people living in an area they think they own (generations), big corporation wants to source what's on the land (coal) and a small story about who is in control of the clan and who wants it and will do whatever it takes to become the leader.

I like it. Cant wait to continue watching.

It's not a bad show but some of the acting and plot is laughable. However, it's really easy to watch. The big corporation stuff doesn't really come into play much this season. It's mostly about the fight for leader of the clan.

Well I finished it all and have to say it got pretty good.
The ending was really good and cant wait for season 2 in January.

One thing that gets me is why the towns people just dont get it. Don't fuck with the mountain people.
This mining company comes in and wants them out and all of a sudden some of the town hillbillies think they can just walk up there and do something they haven't tried before.

WGN America announced today that the hit original drama series, "Outsiders," will return for a highly anticipated second season on Tuesday, January 24. The network also released an intense new trailer, providing fans a glimpse into the new chapter of the Farrell Clan's story in advance of the cast's appearance at New York Comic Con on Sunday, October 9. The trailer features newly named Bren'in, G'win (Gillian Alexy), explaining what happens when you threaten the rugged family who has lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years. This season on "Outsiders," the struggle for power and control continues in the rugged hills of Appalachia as the conflict between the clan and the town escalates with the Farrells becoming more isolated than ever before. The uneasy truce that had generally existed between the townspeople and the Farrell clan came to an end as Big Coal interests headed up the mountain and the standoff at the end of season one continues to have repercussions, putting everyone to the test as they're forced to face new challenges and enemies.

I'm surprised the first season didn't end up on Netflix like WGN's "Salem", so that some of us could actually catch up on it if we wanted.

Hulu actually picked up the rights to the entire 1st season.

I'm caught up. For the most part I'm enjoying the season but the last episode was kind of boring.

Took me forever to realize who "Moregon" was. She looked so familiar then it came to me.

Cancelled: http://deadline.com/2017/04/outsider...ns-1202070195/

This series never caught on here, so not expecting anyone to mourn it's loss.
