Biggest highlight for me was seeing Alex Greenwald and Jason Schwartzman in the same room again.

It's trashy but fun, Fargo is much better but it's the Globes, even Bryan Cranston had a problem winning one while the world was Breaking Bad crazy.

Really? I haven't read a ton of reviews, I was just going by the RT score and all of the laudatory quotes on the poster.

As much as I loved Gaga in AHS (I disagree that it is terrible in any way) I do agree Dunst should have won. Simply a better performance.

The Denzel part was my favorite. Very very well done, possibly the best 'living legend' award yet.

Globes are for fun. Oscars and Emmys are the ones they really want.

I happened to tune in when Hanks was giving his speech, I thought it was great.

If the Affleck joke was in an opening monologue, I guess that's fair game for his jokes. But to use it to immediately introduce Damon is just classless. It put Damon in a really awkward spot to reinforce the joke by smiling (or even by ignoring it) or puts him on the defensive by defending Ben (AKA The Sean Penn approach). The way Matt handled it, with a quiet "wow" was about as good as you could do under the circumstance.
I'm a Ricky Gervaise fan, but that was an all-time low as far as I'm concerned. What a dick move.

Geravais has worked with Jennifer Garner several times so maybe that's why he made the Affleck joke.

I'd forgotten that. Still it was a lousy thing to pull on Damon.

Speaking of folks he's worked with, I wonder how different things would have been if the announcement of David Bowie's death had come a few hours earlier. He had killed it in his cameo on Extras.

His arm was blocking the piece tshe was trying to touch, so it appears she tried to knock his arm away so she could touch that part of the chair.

“Oh lord -- that’s trending, huh?” DiCaprio said when ET’s Cameron Mathison broke the news in our backstage interview room that that memorable moment was the talk of the Internet.

DiCaprio had a completely logical explanation for why he made the face he did when Lady Gaga brushed by him

“I just didn’t know what was passing me -- that’s all!” the Revenant star admitted.

Exactly. I have no sympathy for Affleck, and no matter how Matt Damon reacted, aside from simply ignoring it (which he should have done), the "wow" response was even better. It seemed like a phony "wow" to me, sticking up for your philandering friend.

Gervaiis on Twitter before the show: "Better get dressed and offend some humourless c*nts I suppose."

And feeling sorry for Matt's supposed awkwardness? That's beyond laughable.

I honestly don't know how that was a low blow or how anyone got offended by that. I thought it was pretty funny.

So what was the Ben Affleck joke? I have seen a lot of referencing but have yet to see it posted.

 I nearly pissed in my pants I was laughing so hard when Gervaiis said that. Like he has said before, it's only funny because it's true.
