Wow, didn't expect the MM reveal to Kara that soon. I like it though since it gave them an out with the Cat reveal.
Glenn Morshower is excellent as Gen Lane.
Didn't Supes give Jimmy the material for the cape to pass on to Kara?
Yes, yes she does.

Anyone else care to comment on how they feel when Kara is computer chatting with Clark at the end of the show? They've done this before and it always cracks me up a little bit. I'm kind of expecting Kara to check facebook and find out that Clark has written on her wall, 'Sup cuz.'
I suppose if Kara carries a cell phone it wouldn't be right if Clark wasn't technically literate too.

Let us all pretend that Supergirl's cape is from Krypton and invulnerable on Earth. The reason why DC removed Superman's invulnerable cape back in the 80s? Because artists wanted the freedom to draw the visual of Superman with a shredded cape during a fight on covers.
TV ratings have been soft for all programming the past couple of weeks, even considering the season. I hope CBS didn't make a mistake bringing Supergirl back so early. This would have been a better episode to end the Fall season with.

CBS usually waits a season or two before they dumb it down. In this case, they've simplified Kara's motivations and entanglements to the point of insipidness. "The goodness of human nature" used as crisis solver... again!!! One of the most promising shows of 2015 is rapidly on the way to becoming one of 2016's major disappointments.

I've noticed that Kara's wardrobe is getting more and more dorky as the season progresses. They were trying to make her as frumpy as possible in her scenes with Cat this episode.
I also love how their "hidden" base/computer room inside the Catco building is getting bigger.

I was surprised that they revealed Martian Manhunter to Kara so soon. But, in the grand scheme of things it did work out clearing the reveal to Cat. Cat seemed really snarky to Kara with the whole Supergirl thing in this episode. Almost to the point of being a bitch. Got a little annoying.
I'm sure we'll be seeing Astra and Non in a future episode. Right now it seems like Maxwell Lord is Kara and Alex's main adversary.
Saw the show got a slight ratings bump, which is good. But, it looks like there is no new episode next week.

Yeah, it's kind of like the writers came up with it, then figured it didn't work and dumped it one episode later.

I have no comment at this time.

The "hot" way to connect with younger viewers these days is including on-screen text messages. I've been surprised we haven't seen inane texts from Clark to Kara on the screen like "Way to go, cuz!!" after she beats a villain.

It went from Supergirl finding out to him covering for he as Supergirl within a minute of run time. That is a bit too quick to go from finding out, the whole shapeshifter matter and then asking for that favor.

Maybe they should adopt a Smallville pace for some of you.
She saved his life and he did her a solid. Pretty basic. Also, I think Kara was intentionally dressing frumpier because of Cat. Now that plot is over I'd imagine her wardrobe will be back to normal.

I like the fast pace of this show. It has a lot of competition so needs to keep people interested

I preferred Cat knowing. The deception was kind of dumb. No way Superman sits out those attacks either. Supergirl is facing too difficult challenges too early. Still like the show and love Melissa.

Somewhat disappointing but not unexpected. CBS is footing the bill and they probably wanted their kind of network writers.

It is just surprising at times. Likely used to some shows just dragging things out. Eight episodes in and quite a few things have happened, at least....what, three seasons of Smallville slowness? *Smallville can be entertaining, however once I look back its flaws are REALLY big*
