Worst Episode Ever (not counting Saul and company filling the car with holes)
The whole second half (Saul and Carrie in the hall, the Otto and Carrie at his place scene, and the final scene at the hospital) was a mess.
I love the episode description. The terror plot story was done 3 minutes in.

That actually might the dullest, least interesting finale I have ever seen. God, it was completely awful. Quinn needs to be dead, doctors do not misdiagnose brain damage for the most part, though of course he is likely the best part of the show. Just completely and totally uninteresting.

What a garbage finale. Still have to say last year's was worse due to the face that was more disappointing compared to the rest of the season than this one.

Yeah, it was dull, but you guys must have forgotten last season's finale, which was far, far more dull and inconsequential than this episode was.

Wow. I'm really disappointed in myself for giving this show another go at it after last year's mess of a season finale.
This shit was Carrie crying in the corner on/off her meds bad.

What I'm surprised at is the praise this season is receiving by some critics. I recall being underwhelmed by the preview before the season even begun, which helped temper my expectations (thankfully).
The finale fit the mold for the season, IMO. I like that they skipped over the opening credits and took us right back to the train station where they left off the previous week. That was over in 15 minutes and the rest of the denouement wasn't terribly compelling. But, neither was the season...

that was just horrible and I wanted to fast forward through any scene with Carrie. Terrible.
By the way, it's not terrible because it's "dull." It's terrible because it's terrible.
It's not unusual for finales to be wrap ups and "after" big events of penultimate episodes, but it was needlessly drawn out. The fight with the other dude who ended the relationship that was already done was stupid, the hospital plot was silly. I like the Quinn character, but they killed him, so they need to simply follow through on it.
The proposal was cringe worthy. Ugh.

Her turning down Saul, even after being given the offer of autonomy, was so dumb, and her whole "that's not who I am anymore" made it even worse.
How much better would it have been if she accepted Saul's offer, going in completely reinvigorated, being charged up by what happened to Quinn to kick some ass? Rather than this namby pamby shit we got instead.

bad ending, so so season. why they kill off quinn, does he have a new pilot or something? that made no sense.
last ep was much better, would have made a better season finale.
really sloppy and hastenly written last ep.

Yeah, all that and more.
Just over the top with this, Saul wants her back, the rich dude wants to marry her, Quinn loves/d her. Come on. With the show coming back, it's just so stupid to go with "That's not who I am anymore" route. So what, we'll get more of Carrie NOT helping hunt terrorists. Ugh. Brutal season finale and not looking forward to next season. (Also if Quinn's dead that's really not going to help matters, as he was my favorite part of the show.)

Homeland's finales have always been bad. But this one broke a new record. Everyone already commented about all the things that were wrong.
And yeah, the best/worst part is that Claire Danes will probably receive an Emmy nomination for this season.
Wait, the worst part is that I will be tuning in again next season.

Maan that was really really bad. Last years was worse but pretty bad still.
Jonas breaking up with Carrie right after having sex with her
I did like the part with Saul and the Russian agent and Saul and his team gunning down Allison and the Russians.

I know they always did the big stuff in ep 9, and then clean up in ep 10, but this was just ridiculous.
As has been pointed out to me, this show is now Dexter levels of bad. Not True Blood levels, where I was hate watching it but just eye rollingly bad.

Yeah, this was very disappointing and meanwhile I kept wondering where the debriefings, interviews, etc. were? Carrie saves the day, walks away and no one wants to go over any details? Maybe she had a quick convo sometime in the 4 day gap, but I think the reality would be very different. Last episode it said that the Germans deployed the army domestically for the first time since WWII on their own soil, at a location where there was no bomb, and there's no fallout from that? Nobody seems to need to even discuss it? I know that this is an unrealistic drama, but no sign of any of that?
And, so far as we see, they're completely ignoring the rest of the terrorist cell?

Why is everyone on this show in love with Carrie?
It was a terrible finale to a very bad season.

Allison and the Russians dying in a hail of bullets was the best part of the finale.
I saw the episode had 3 credited writers including Homeland's showrunner. Anytime a show needs more than 1 writer for 45-50+ minutes of TV, that's a sign they had trouble with it.
What a waste of Rupert Friend this season. Was he too tired this season after filming Agent 47? I swear he spent most of the season injured or in a hospital.
Initially I was intrigued when they announced the season was filming in Germany, but this entire season arc was disappointing.
Season 6 needs a complete and massive overhaul if they don't want to lose anymore viewers.
I don't expect a crazy cliffhanger ending, but it seems the writers are having trouble finishing seasons in a compelling way. The season 1 finale, even though some here complained about it, was still the best finale of the entire show's run.
