If you want to watch the 1st episode of season 6, Showtime put it up on their streaming service and on-demand services.

Finally finished season 5. Horrible finale. Also, I had no clue this was scheduled for three more seasons. David Nevin is a horrible exec. He needs to stop running shows into the ground.

This show needs to get gassed.

Straight up, the first episode of the new season just makes me wonder if Showtime just likes to run their shows in to the ground.

Did Dexter ever got that bad? I mean, besides the series finale.

Weeds was bad, but not this bad either.

The final season of Dexter wasn't a high-point but it wasn't nearly as bad as most people say. I think they really just align it with the finale, which arguably is the least satisfying TV finale to a long-running show this decade. Weeds also probably lasted 3 seasons longer than necessary. But I'd actually say Weeds, especially in years 6 & 7 was as bad as Homeland is now.

David Nevins just loves to run things into the ground. Weeds, Dexter, Californication, Homeland, Shameless, etc. And their shows suffer creatively cause he doesn't juggle schedules well (ie - the final season of Dexter or airing two seasons of Shameless this year).

People didn't care for it post Season 4. I didn't think Season 5 was too bad. Season 6 was terrible. I thought Season 7 was a return to form and loved the addition of Yvonne Strahovski. Season 8 was atrocious.

Weeds progressively got worse after they moved out of California, as I think I bailed around Season 6.

It's a shame cause Homeland should have wrapped up last year or even this, as this will be just another great show that goes 2-3 seasons past its expiration date.

I agree...after a pretty great Season 5, the Season 6 premiere reminded me of the last episode of Season 4: pointless.

Problem is, the trailer at the end of the show that shows you what will be happening this season didn't excite me either.
