Is that civilized area in the planet the same one from Guardians of the Galaxy, where StarLord got the gem stone at the beginning of the movie?

Ward is dead, but that slug thing will probably use his body as a vessel and bring him back to the show. And Fitz... friend zone level 999999999999999.

Well, they didn't waste any time doing the Ward vessel thing.

I thought that at some point the show runners would transform Ward from his current incarnation into something like the Taskmaster.

Boy, Coulson just crushing Ward's chest was pretty brutal. Good finish for the fall

Cool episode, glad Coulson killed Ward like that after everything that's happened over the last 2 seasons. In a pretty cool fashion too. Not sure how I feel about the Hydra monster thing, especially as an excuse to keep "Ward" around. He turned in to a great villain, but it's really time to move on.
For some awesome creature, the Hydra monster doesn't seem to have much in terms of fighting skill.

I think leaving him there to die on a desolate, God-forsaken world to be eternally hunted by a hellish entity would've been a better punishment than death. I'm betting when the show comes back, they'll have Coulson dealing with the psychological fallout of doing something so dark that he could never come back from.

So, by the look of things, Ward will still be alive by the time The Inhumans comes to the big screen.

yeah, that was a little too quickly of a reveal.
Last week was a step in the right direction and this episode was good ol' lame Agents of Shield again.

Both of the big reveals were so clearly telegraphed it was laughable. I did like that they didn't tone down Lash and I imagine he'll come into play against the big baddie in the second half of the season. And why did Coulson leave his hand behind? Now that he killed a man with that thumb does he no longer trust himself with it?

Did they not learn anything from WB's fuckary? I get there's the TV and Film side sort of throwing hissy fits, but considering how well that injection of synergy helped when Captain America 2 hit towards A.O.S, you would think that they could come together on this a bit easier.

With the stern look on Coulsen's face in the closing shot, I thought the alien slug hitched a ride in him.
What good would taking over Ward's body do? It's still stuck on the planet then.

Uh ... did you see the last minute of the show? Somehow, it got back through the portal in Ward's body (with Coulson's fake hand!)

Coulson wants Ward dead all season. Catches up to him and shoots the two guys with him, but doesn't shoot Ward. A real person who wanted Ward dead would have shot Ward first then one of the other guys and saved the third dude for questioning. Then Coulson sees Fitz through the binoculars. No longer needs Ward to find Fitz. Still doesn't kill Ward, but tells him to walk faster instead. Meanwhile I'm yelling at my TV why don't you just shoot him since you don't need him? Of course it was because they need Ward to die next to the portal so they can keep him on the show. Completely lame.

And you would think the inhuman would want a REAL fresh body to quickly change places with. Ward's body just so happens to be among the most damaged in TV history. How many damn bullet-holes and broken bones are on that thing? Seriously, someone needs to do a graph of ALL the wounds Ward's had through the show.

Besides the not killing Ward right off the bat bullshit, my biggest peeve was them not showing Bobbi/Mockingbird kicking ass - just the after-effect.
She's my favorite part of the show, and they should just spin her off into her own show, and/or make her Hawkeye's sidekick if he ever gets a solo movie.
