 to Jax. Not sure if it was the writers making Jax a football star or not, but he reminded me of Smash from FNL.

And, someone please tell me that villain (being vague) is from the comics. That was hilariously awesome. Still not as cool as Grodd though.

He certainly was a pretty ridiculous villain so I would be ok with that being a one off.

The have to be willing to see what's right in front of us scene between Barry and Caitlin was really just toying with the "Snowbarry" people. Though I have to the say, I do hope the picture that Danielle Panabaker showed on the Talk last week will end up being Earth 2 Caitlin. I don't want to lose Earth 1 Caitlin.

Glad to have Wells back.

Also, back in the 80s, Henry Hewitt was a villain in Firestorm comics called Tokamak and Jefferson Jackson was one of Ronnie Raymond's friends.

I loved King Shark. Couldn't stand the Iris and her mother stuff, but I wonder if they're going to bring in Wally as a long lost brother instead of being Iris's nephew.

Wow, this was a so-so episode until that wild final scene. King Shark!!! Yes, he's a talking man-shark. I pray we see him again.

I thought the CGI for him actually looked a lot better than the CGI for Atom Smasher.

Holy shit. What a lackluster episode with a final 60 seconds that made me go all...

He better still be alive so he can go after Hal Jordan. Out of fucking nowhere. Oh man... oh man. OH MAN!

 I liked the re-introduction of Firestorm. Jax is a pretty cool replacement for Ronnie. I guess he will be transitioning to Legends of Tomorrow.

 at King Shark at the end. That caught me off guard and was awesome.

Good to see Wells back.

Not going to tear apart the Iris-Mother plot. it is what it is.

I'm really liking Patty. I wondering if they plan to keep her around for awhile. Shantel Van Santen seems to be fitting in even though the cast is already quite big.

So, Harrison Wells 2.0... is he Eobard Thawne or the real Dr. Wells from Earth 2? I'm guessing since he stole the fancy gun, he's not the real Wells either.

It'll be pretty weak if he ends up being Zoom.

I think the problem for Atom Smasher was the budget was blown on showing the singularity sequence.

I think this Harrison Wells will be good. But Flash will hate and distrust him for 18 episodes.

I've started skipping any Iris scene that doesn't involve Barry or Joe so I never learned what her Mom's story/scam was all about. And I'm OK with that.

Detective Chimp please!!!!

I'm not sure why they felt the need to create a new character. If they wanted a black Firestorm why didn't they go with Jason Rusch?

I was wondering when someone was going to bring this up. DC has had a perfectly good black character as half of the Firestorm matrix for many years- Jason Rusch. He's actually one of the few modern age replacements to have succeeded in establishing himself as a solid DC character liked by fans. I have no idea why this show felt the need to fabricate a new character out of thin air, unless the movie division nixed using Jason...

hanshotfirst1138 10-28-15 10:04 PM

OK, it's official: The Flash is the greatest achievement in the history of mankind. Not only does it have a talking psychic gorilla, but it has a talking eight-foot shark. That takes it from "awesome" to "fucking awesome."

This whole stunt reeks of franchise-building for the new DCTVU, it doesn't really feel like an organic story on its own. This is what, the third time now Firestorm has come and gone at the whim of the plot? This is obviously little beyond a prep for LOT.

Technically, Earth One Harrison Wells was a genius and a great guy. Wells became a traitorous asshole when Eobard Thawne took over his dead body. Earth 2 Wells could be the genius that live on Earth One before he died.

Maybe they have plans to have Jason Rusch/Firestorm join the DC Justice League movie universe sometime down the road? That would be interesting...

I see the Ex Mrs. West has the same illness as the Clock King sister(ARROW episode) which they borrow from the BATMAN & ROBIN movie.

At first I wasn't too thrill with adding Jefferson Jackson to the Firestorm matrix.
Then Gerry Conway(Co-Creator of Firestorm) retweeted out that Jackson was one of Ronnie's classmates in the comics.
So that made his addition a little more acceptable to me.

The villain Henry Hewiit 1st appeared (I Believe) in FURY of FIRESTORM #15.
Toramak created by Conway and Pat Broderick.
At least they didn't kill this villain off.

The finale minute was pretty wild. Love King Shark. Looked awesome.

They had Jason show up in Season 1 for a single episode (he was a scientist who worked with Professor Stein on the Firestorm project back when Caitlin was trying to figure out what happened to Ronnie). My guess is that for whatever reason they didn't want that actor as one of their leads on the new show, so they decided to recast, as it were.
