He's not particularly interested in being in front of the camera and performing, and he'd rather just build stuff without cameras around, but it seems more like a preference to not do those things rather than actively hating them.
Yeah, my wording was probably too strong. He definitely doesn't seem to care very much that its over and I don't know that his enthusiasm for the show was there for quite a while (if he ever had much of any for it at all).

I don't think he ever hated doing the show... he's always maintained that he hated the 'tv' end of it. Mugging for the camera, interviews for the myths, telling how something would work, etc. He just preferred the actual 'doing,' not the tv trappings that Adam loved to do.

As someone posted, not sure if it was this thread, but Adam is on a YouTube channel called "Tested". I've gone back and watched several of his one-day build "episodes" like the Star Trek captain's chair.

I'd love to see them do a yearly Christmas special with all 5 of them.

Yeah it would be kind of cool if they did specials now and again even though the show is over. Sort of doubt it'll happen though.

Jessie, that little cutie.

No mention either of the Mythterns or the college professor who would explain the various myths during the first season. I wouldn't have expected them back, but an acknowledgement would have been nice.

Yes, yes it was... that's the way I always remember the saying being. It was a nice little reunion show. Did anyone else keep rewinding to that Kari butt shot in the nude colored spandex... no... only me?!?

Re: Mythbusters to end after season 14

the reunion episode was funny when they complained about the early days when they actually tested myths. Well considering that was the name of the show it was expected. the last few seasons could have been renamed "how can we blow something up today?"

Are they going to replay the reunion? Or at least put it up on On Demand?

I don't think they were upset about "testing myths," but specifically testing a few crackpot theories. The best myths were the ones that seemed at least plausible, or where they really didn't know what the outcome was. But sticking your head in a wire pyramid for mind control, it's not surprising they just felt silly.

She was at least at the viewing party ( https://mobile.twitter.com/MythBuste...24028051554304 ), but yeah... it sucks she wasn't in the show.

Complaining about the crackpot theories is warranted. The first two that came to mind were the mind reading and the plant thing. So dumb.

Not only dumb but those episodes were unwatchable.

The nutty stuff like mind reading wasn't good, but I did like when they would test out crazy contraptions found online, like infinite energy machines or the vortex device that was sold as improving fuel economy.

Jessi Combs—vehicle builder, racer, fabricator, TV personality, and all-around automotive legend—was killed on Tuesday in a crash while attempting to break her own land-speed record in southeast Oregon. She was 36.

The crash occurred as Combs was piloting her jet-powered land-speed car on the Alvord Desert, a dry lake bed where several land-speed records have been set. According to local reports, the crash happened shortly after 4pm local time.

Yeah, really sad. I don't follow car/auto stuff and I didn't know about her career in that arena.

Many who have tried to break various land speed records over the decades have been killed...it's part of the game.

I remember seeing her not long ago on “Jay Leno’s Garage" driving around with Jay in a 1500-hp Bugatti Chiron hypercar.
