Because he "blew up" at the end of last season. They show a sign that Star City was dedicated "to the memory of Ray Palmer". To the world, he is dead. For now...

Until he shows up on Legends of Tomorrow.

Ah okay, I forgot what happened last season. I saw the sign, but I guess I missed the "to the memory of". That's what I get for watching the show when I should of been sleeping. Luckily I saved it so I can rewatch it.

I didn't catch that, what I did catch is in the previous scene there was a sign that said something like
Coast City
In Brightest Day
In Blackest Night
Visit Coast City

I am close to done, seems like the same old shit again. I will still record it and maybe give it another shot when I can power watch it but thought the episode was really dull and repetitive. Big part of it is I guess that I really do not like anyone on this show outside of Felicity who was actually better on Flash last year than her old show.

Even if you're having a hard time watching this, it's going to be hard to quit it without missing storylines for The Flash and even Legends of Tomorrow. They have several crossovers planned including all 3 shows together in the coming months.

While I'll agree that season 3 of Arrow wasn't up to snuff with the first two seasons; I still feel like Arrow is one of the best comicbook adaptions on TV right now. I like it more than The Flash.... and I don't know what to think about Legends of Tomorrow but I do feel like they're just using Arrow and Flash to promote something that likely will be inferior and not have fared well without those two boosting it.

Seriously, it just did not look right at all. He looked like a guy trying to be a superhero and dug through some junk to find a costume.

Totally agree which is why I will continue to record the show and maybe only watch the crossover ones. Unlike a previous poster, I think Arrow is clearly the worst of all the super hero shows and thought that for a while maybe even season 2. Last year was just so depressing and dragged out and melodramatic, it just did not connect with me. I don't hate the show I just find myself bored and uninterested and wondering why I am even watching.

I don't think is the worst but certainly it isn't the best. It was amazing to see that the Arrow characters were much better written and had better chemistry when they cameo in Flash. Felicity and Barry have a much better chemistry than Felicity with Oliver.

Hopefully, this season doesn't drag the same melodrama bs that made last season bad.

Anyway, great episode :up: Can't say much else except I'm hooked, as usual. Better premier than Flash's, and Flash was good too.

The problem with Arrow is that is unlike The Flash it's joyless. So whenever any of The Flash characters make an appearance you realize how much fun the other show is.

I cant believe what a massive about face this crowd has shown.
When SHIELD started, all people did was say how lame it was and that a good show was ARROW.

I dropped Agents of SHIELD about halfway through season 1.

When I was enjoying SHIELD, many said it was shit and that ARROW was a far superior show.
