Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans (HBO) - 8/11/15

HBO Sports, NFL Films and the Houston Texans team up for an all-access look at what it takes to make it in the National Football League when HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE HOUSTON TEXANS debuts in August. The first sports-based reality series - and one of the fastest-turnaround programs on TV - kicks off its five-episode tenth season TUESDAY, AUG. 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Other hour-long episodes of the 12-time Sports Emmy Award-winning series debut subsequent Tuesdays at the same time, culminating in the Sept. 8 season finale.

Starting a day early since preseason started last night, and this sometimes flies under the radar. So heads up, set your DVRs, etc. etc.

Given everything that's happened so far with the Texans, this season should be interesting. Can't get much worse than last season with Atlanta.

Ugh..as a Texans fan I fear watching this will make me even more angry about the direction we are headed. Get rid of Andre Johnson...check..bring in Brian Hoyer...check...Arian Foster out for half the season...check...mediocrity for another season...CHECK!!

Hopefully we get some fun personalities this season because, man, those Falcon players and coaches were pretty lame.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans (HBO) - 8/11/15

The Texans are a complete joke. It starts with an owner who has no real interest in winning (people fill his publicly funded stadium regardless of their record), a GM who has no business being a GM and would have been fired years ago if he worked for a real NFL franchise, and now extends to this moron they hired to coach the team. When will owners realize that just because a guy coached with Bill Bilicheck doesn't mean that he's Bill Bilicheck. Rooted for these losers religiously for the first eight or nine seasons, then realized they weren't serious about winning.

You don't like Brian Cox? He loves Adam Sandler movies.

I will watch for sure since it is a annual ritual to get ready for the season.

The Texans and the Bills are in the same boat. Good defenses wasted with bad QB play.

Bryan Cox was the best part of last season. He lost his virginity when he was 10!

That was quite the episode of Hard Knocks: Training Camp With J.J. Watt

Figured he would dominate the first episode, but hopefully they spread it out as the season continues.

Surprised that's all they had for the Foster injury.

Hard not to like JJ Watt. Guy is out there still working out after people are gone and he is signing autographs. Gotta respect a guy like that who works hard and is good to the fans.

Too damn bad it wasn't the Jets this season. Would have been hilarious if HBO caught the sucker punch on film. Ratings would have been through the roof.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans (HBO) - 8/11/15

I wonder if they staged that fight for the show since everybody complained about how boring the Falcons were last year.

I wonder if somebody will complain about all the F bombs on the show since the NFL is under attack for everything these days and people might think it is a family friendly show.

i doubt it was staged. DeAngelo Hall tweeted out shit about DeAndre Hopkins today, who responded perfectly. I think both teams legitimately don't like each other.

That training montage felt like something out of Rocky IV. Someone needs to get him into an action movie franchise. That guy has star potential. -- not just in Football, he's a superstar personality.

The DeAngelo Hall/DeAndre Hopkins thing was the best part of the episode. JJ Watt is starting to reach the point of overexposure to me...

Brian Cushing saying he not does drink lattes anymore since he is not a chick lol.

If he had a 3rd child he hopes it is not a girl.

It is just the preseason but at least the Niners came through on that goal line stand.

Its getting worse and worse every year. They used to get to know a few rookies struggling to make the team. Stories the audience could get invested in. They would show the vets breaking balls and hanging out and not being "guarded" like they usually are in interviews.

Now the show is mostly practices and pre-season game footage. We really don't get to know anyone anymore.

Wilfork in the overalls

I think this season has been better than the last few, O'Brien is much better than Philbin and Mike Smith.

This last episode was pretty good. But before that this season was a dud.

So can anyone spell opportunity or spaghetti?

Mallet what a tool. I can see why he has been a failure in the NFL.

So far nobody featured has a hot wife or girlfriend on the show.

I was so hoping after O'Brian had that QB meeting and said "We've decided to go with Brian" that Mallet would immediately ask "I'm sorry, did you say 'Ryan' or 'Brian'?".

Yeah, pretty boring season but at least O'Brian is pretty enjoyable to watch.
Watt turned out to me less interesting than I had originally expected.

I think Cushing's wife is pretty nice... I appreciate her athletic build at the very least.
