Strike Back (S4E01) -- Season Premiere -- "Episode 31" -- 7/31/15
On the eve of an historic nuclear-weapons summit with a North Korean delegation, Robin Foster (Tim McInnerny), the British Ambassador to Thailand, learns that his daughter Chloe (Eliza Hope Bennett) has been kidnapped by a ruthless Bangkok gang led by expatriate Ray McQueen (Max Beesley). Racing against the clock to locate her, Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) and their Section 20 team - including boss Phillip Locke (Robson Green) and agents Julie Richmond (Michelle Lukes) and Kim Martinez (Milauna Jackson) - track the thugs through the canals and streets of Thailand. When their efforts stall, Foster ends up following his own instincts, despite the chance that things could get worse before they get better.

This was supposed to air last summer, but was delayed due to Sullivan Stapleton's concussion that he suffered in Thailand.
Note: The season has already aired in the UK and I know some of you watched it early. Please as a courtesy, no spoilers!! Feel free to talk about the actual episodes after they air, but don't post any key plot points prior to it airing on Cinemax. And no discussion of future episodes in these episode specific threads.
Also, I did not call this "Season 5" because Cinemax is only counting the Winchester-Stapleton seasons.

Are they ever going to release "Origins" on DVD/Blu in the US?

2 good action sequences. Loved the part when they were in the slums. Interested to see what the greater threat is this year.

Off to a shaky start. Great action as usual, but horrible dialog and, while I've been a big fan of her's for a long time, Michelle Yeoh is just awful in this.

Holy shit that was so good. I could have easily gone another hour.
Those last few minutes before the bomb went off in the Embassy were intense.
Yeah I'm curious what the bigger plan is. I think someone wants to start a war with the North Koreans.
I was just in Thailand last month on vacation and recognized many of the city scenics in this episode. Must have been hot as shit when they were filming. Sully and Philip looked like they were sweating their balls off.
Richmond looked really hot in that tight black dress entering the club.

Just found this today. I guess this is an outtake from season 2. It's fucking hilarious.

Looks like only me and Deftones and maybe dex14 will be the ones talking about this week to week for the U.S. airings.
This is such an underrated action serial drama. I bummed that it hasn't gotten more attention. The only U.S. TV critic that seems to really like it and plug it is Alan Sepinwall. I mean Banshee is awesome too, but that seems to get way more attention than this show. I just checked the Strike Back Cinemax Facebook page and it's dead as far as discussion goes.
Well, looking forward to episode 2 on Friday night. Looking forward to seeing the aftermath of the bombing.

Decent start. Good banter between Scott and Stonebridge. Action was topnotch as per usual.

I decided to wait for the Cinemax airing so I'm also one of the few who hasn't seen the whole season yet. I liked the change of location and bad acting or not I liked seeing Michelle Yeoh.

I'm actually Thai and lived in Thailand for 1 year back in the 80s and travel there semi-regularly. That's why I love the new location compared to South Africa, where they shot most of the 1st 3 seasons.
