Lizzy is ok but is she really that hot or stunning you would leave your wife to cheat on?

This is now up. 3 episodes are available.
I'll probably watch it after work on Sunday.

Oh man, the reviews for this are awful. An anemic 47 on Metacritic, including a scathing pan from Time, which calls it Fatally Atrocious
Bummer because I thought the dual timeline, prove-your-innocence setup sounded intriguing.

I watched the first two episodes last night. The first episode was all set up. The second one actually went into the sex and the start of Dan and Alex’s affair. I didn’t think it was bad as some of those reviews alluded. The two timelines which are 15 years apart added something different to it. And it shows what Dan and his family’s life is like years later. One thing is the wife is re-married. By the way, if you watch this on Paramount plus, watch through the end credits. There is a short feature on each episode similar to what HBO does. This version of Dan is nothing like the 1987 movie.
I’ll watch episode 3 later today.

Just finished episode 3. It was probably my favorite of these early episodes. It was 90% from the perspective of Alex and showed how unstable she was and how she started to manipulate Dan. It was basically a replay of events in episode 1 and 2, but all from Alex’s side.

Is this show trying to pull off something similar to the once-good show The Affair, from Showtime?

The reviews seem to state this goes completely off the rails by the end. I hope they don't do something stupid like Alex isn't dead, got plastic surgery, and is posing as the daughter's therapist.

Anyone else still watching this?
I'm enjoying it. It's turned into a somewhat interesting murder mystery.

I found the last episode to be exceptionally slow but I think the show itself is intriguing

I think it's pretty dumb and dragged out.

So I finally finished the season tonight. It wrapped up several weeks ago.
All I have to say is……Wow, WTF?
What the hell is Alexandra Cunningham thinking?
Thats how they want to continue this show? The twist with Arthur was interesting, but Ellen? C’mon!

Another thing about this show is that this version of Dan Gallagher is not a good guy. He's kind of an asshole. The Douglas version, while making a mistake, quickly realized he fucked up and tried to make amends with his wife and daughter. Jackson's version is arrogant lied and lied over again to cover up his transgressions to the police, his boss and the court. At one point, I was almost rooting for him to fail.
