Well that ending was unexpected. I didn't read any of the spoilers, but I think he survived. You don't cast a relatively big name like Colin Farrell only to do 2 episodes of TV. The scene was pretty eerie. I wonder who the guy was dressed as a crow. Pleasantly surprised to see Abigail Spencer from Suits as his ex.

Can someone shed some light on what the deal is with Semyon and his money? It sounded like the guy was broke and his money was somehow tied into Caspar before his murder. I know Semyon is involved in some kind of land deal as mentioned in episode 1. Who was that guy that got rear ended and maced before Semyon had a chat with him?

When opening up the article it starts off with a spoiler alert warning, but the idiots already spoiled it by showing a fucking picture of the character with that caption underneath. Are they really that stupid?

Can't remember... could've have been a flashback from episode 1. But even if I realized it's a later episode, at the very least I'm spoiled about the cliffhanger - and then his being alive is spoiled because of the picture.

Plus there are plenty of people who haven't even watched the first episode yet (binge-watchers aplenty) - so they're teased with a spoiler and are now expecting something for that character.

Semyon gave Caspare $5 million for the land deal but it was never used to purchase the land and now it's missing. The guy that he had beat up was running a small gambling operation that was taking away from Semyon's Poker Room.

Semyon gave him $5 million dollars to secure the purchase of the land through Catalyst at a sale price of $10 million. He had to sell off his properties to secure the money. The Catalyst guy said that he could purchase the land directly for $7 million which told Semyon that Caspare was ripping him off. Caspare was acting as a holding company so that Semyon wouldn't be tied directly to the deal.

I was in the "wait to binge" boat up until yesterday morning when I was told there was a big event at the end of this episode. So in order to avoid it getting spoiled for me, I decided to jump in and watched both episodes last night.

I'm with everyone else on the end. It was rubber pellets or bean bags. If they really wanted to kill him off they would have shot him in the head.

But so far so good. After reading reviews I was expecting the premiere to be a lot more convoluted. There was definitely a lot going on but it wasn't too difficult to follow. I thought there were some really cool scenes in the first episode too. I thought the second was better now that we have the framework for the story.

I'm loving this show so far --- as long as Farrell is around. I don't think I could handle a season of just McAdams and Kitsch bumping around confused and angry.

It was questioned after the first episode, but does this episode confirm Kitsch's character is repressing being gay? Seems like it from his "***" comment and his interest in the gay men on the street.
