What you and I have goes beyond mating. She delivered that line like a true pro. Apparently Junior is going to get a harem.

No one hate-watching anymore? Thursday's episode may have been the craziest episode in Under the Dome's history, which is truly saying something. They took the relationship between Barbie and Julia to a very dark place. Big Jim is having so much fun this season saying his lines and walking around with that dog of his.

Re: Under the Dome (CBS) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 6/25/15

Yeah they definitely changed Big Jim's character this season. He's the Jesse Ventura of the show now. His sole purpose seems to be to drop one-liners left and right.

Lately I've been chuckling at the pure randomness of the plot. Not only does what characters do or say have no bearing on past episodes or seasons, but not even what happened before the commercial break. I guess they figure it's tougher to mock the show if it's not possible to figure out what it's supposed to be.

confused silence > ridicule

That line bugged me because Big Jim is definitely NOT a tool. He's a dirtbag. Barbie, on the other hand, is a tool.

I'm a few behind watching on Amazon.

Just watched the Beneath The Planet of the Apes fake fire, end of the world ep.

That would have been interesting if they actually did that.

Not liking this season as much as the past two, but still tuning in each week.

From what I hear it's really straying away from the book this season, but I never read it haha.

There is another group of aliens!?

That could be several more seasons right from that idea.

That death seemed anti-climactic. All is right with the world now that Barbie and Julia are back together.

Perhaps they'll do better with the 2nd alien race than Falling Skies did ...

I'm not sure that's a low enough bar for Under the Dome.

LOL. We will learn the 2nd race created the domes to contain the 1st race and plan to randomly drop domes on Earth to contain them?

I'm surprised we've had nearly three seasons of Under the Dome and haven't had a single Thunderdome reference yet.

So has it been renewed for a new season or this the final one?

They'll probably renew Extant and Zoo now just to keep me wasting my summer viewing hours with CBS.

The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that make up our learning to live with what we've lost.

The last episode featured a prominent commercial promo for season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray. I would guess so since that would finish out the series on Blu-ray.

If for no other reason, releasing season 3 on bluray would also be an easy way to release a "complete series" bluray set.

An easy way to clear out old inventory, and whatever "dome" looking special packaging (like what was done for season 1).

The cancellation of Under The Dome bodes well for CBS’ other bubble summer drama, Extant, whose renewal chances have now significantly improved.
(CBS brass also have been bullish on the sci-fi series’ creative reboot in Season 2.)
Freshman Zoo, the strongest of the three this summer, has been expected to be renewed all along.
CBS already has ordered a new drama series for next summer, BrainDead.
Word is that, if the network only brings back two existing dramas, there may be room for a second new drama series next summer.

Glad to see Zoo is doing well and is coming back.

BraindDead is the perfect title for a CBS summer drama. That's the state these shows leave me in every week.

The closest in spirit to Under the Dome is Zoo. That show already has shown potential as a capable replacement for Under the Dome's inspired writing and acting.

I also like how in the announcement the utter savaging of the show by reviewers and "fans" barely blips up in the article.

I`m glad it was cancelled. I kept watching even after the horrible season 2, and found myself so pissed off at this show still, how can it suck so much after such a great season 1. Well the nightmare is over.
