Columbo in HD
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel shows Columbo in HD. Still 4:3 obviously but looks pretty amazing in HD, and it is still in my opinion easily one of the best show ever. Episodes hold up really well. Whenever it was on recently it was in pretty bad SD, but truly looks like it was made yesterday. Seems like they have all seasons. Showed some from Season 2 yesterday and showing season 10 episode tomorrow. One I may have never seen.
With Forever cancelled (they need to shop it) I was thinking Ioan Griffold could be a great modern day Columbo if they ever revived it. |
Re: Columbo in HD
One of my all time favorite shows. Would love to get them all in HD to replace my DVDs.

Re: Columbo in HD
Didn't it come out in Japan on Blu-ray for like $1000?

They are starting to release season sets in Australia as well. Gives me hope that a European country will start releasing the show at a more reasonable price.

Re: Columbo in HD
Thanks for the tip, I've been recording these and they are good fun.
I never really caught Colombo during its prime run, or during repeats, but I think I wouldn't appreciate it like I do now. He's a blast. |
Re: Columbo in HD
I've had my Japanese set for a couple of years now and love it. Around $200 bucks.

Columbo was popular in Japan?
