Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

This prompt made me curious. > Write a commercial for a Nissan starring Brie Larson about Dungeons and Dragons

Now I want a Nissan Dungeon Master Edition
Spoiler:

ChatGPT
[Upbeat, energetic music fades in]

[Scene opens to Brie Larson sitting at a table filled with Dungeons and Dragons game accessories. She looks excited and ready for adventure.]

Brie Larson: "Hey there, adventurers! Brie Larson here, and today I want to talk to you about a game that's all about unleashing your imagination, just like driving a Nissan!"

[Scene transitions to Brie Larson hopping into a sleek, modern Nissan vehicle.]

Brie Larson: "Introducing the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition! It's the perfect ride for the ultimate Dungeon Master, just like me."

[Camera pans to the customized interior of the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition, showcasing plush leather seats with embroidered dragon motifs, a built-in dice tower, and a touch screen interface displaying a digital character sheet.]

Brie Larson: "Now, imagine this. You and your party have just defeated the final boss and saved the kingdom. But the adventure doesn't end there. With the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition, you can hit the road and continue the quest beyond the game table."

[Cut to Brie Larson driving the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition through diverse landscapes, resembling different fantasy realms.]

Brie Larson: "Whether you're traversing enchanted forests, crossing treacherous mountains, or exploring bustling cities, the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition is ready for any adventure."

[Scene transitions to Brie Larson pulling up to a group of friends waiting outside a gaming store, all dressed in fantasy costumes.]

Brie Larson: "And don't worry about limited cargo space for your loot. The Nissan Dungeon Master Edition has plenty of room to carry all your magical artifacts and treasure chests!"

[Camera zooms in on the spacious trunk of the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition, showcasing ample storage capacity.]

Brie Larson: "But that's not all! Nissan knows that Dungeons and Dragons is all about friendship and camaraderie. That's why this special edition vehicle comes with built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to sync your favorite fantasy-themed playlists and stay connected with your adventuring party."

[Scene transitions to Brie Larson and her friends inside the car, singing along to an epic fantasy anthem.]

Brie Larson: "So, whether you're a Dungeon Master looking to take your adventures to the next level or a player seeking the perfect vehicle for your questing endeavors, the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition is your ultimate ride."

[Scene fades out to the Nissan logo and a tagline.]

Brie Larson: "Unleash your imagination on the open road. Get behind the wheel of the Nissan Dungeon Master Edition today!"

[Upbeat music fades out]

It's Chat GPT so that's debatable (But it is what passes for AI currently)

I sort of figured that, but wanted to give you credit if it was your own hard work!

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

I don't know why I haven't explored this yet: Jake was an 8th grader who loved to smoke weed. He didn’t care much about school, grades, or anything else. He just wanted to get high and chill with his friends.

One day, he had a homework assignment for his English class. He had to come up with some slogans for a car company. He chose Nissan because he liked their logo. He didn’t bother to do any research or think of anything clever. He just wrote down whatever came to his mind while he was stoned.

The next day, he handed in his paper with the following slogans:
  • Nissan: The car that makes you feel like a ninja.
  • Nissan: Drive it like you stole it.
  • Nissan: It’s not a car, it’s a lifestyle.
  • Nissan: The ultimate ride for the ultimate high.
  • Nissan: No one can stop you now.
His teacher was appalled by his work. She gave him an F and called his parents. Jake didn’t care. He thought his slogans were awesome. He even posted them on his social media accounts, hoping to get some likes and laughs from his followers.

Little did he know that his post went viral. It caught the attention of a Nissan executive who was looking for some fresh and edgy ideas for their new marketing campaign. He loved Jake’s slogans and decided to use them for their ads. He contacted Jake and offered him a job as a creative consultant.

Jake couldn’t believe his luck. He accepted the offer and dropped out of school. He moved to Los Angeles and started working for Nissan. He got paid a lot of money and got to smoke weed all day. He became famous and successful.

He lived happily ever after.

The end.

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

It’s been a long time since I’ve hated a commercial this much.
“Of course you know where you’re going. That’s so you.” Is the most annoying line I’ve heard in years!

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

In recent years I've just come to the realization that I must not be the market that car manufacturers are going for. I find most if not all of the car ads to be more annoying than funny. My wife would kill me if I bought a new car for her without consulting her, even if it is a gift (not like you can return it).

Like that Buick commercial, "it's so you" means that you're relatively wealthy and got all the bells and whistles?

Kars for Kids is the ultimate answer to this question because of its ambiguity verging on deceptiveness.

What kids are being helped?
Poor kids?
Hungry kids?
Drug addicted kids?
Disabled kids?
Illiterate kids?
Homeless kids?
Runaway kids?
Abused kids?

The answer: Summer camps and afterschool programs for Jewish kids

No, it's because of the jingle. The kids could be starving orphans in my neighborhood but I'd find some other venue to help them rather than that just because of the jingle.

Really hate the "Dave's Not Hot Chicken" commercial. Something about that guy, who I assume is some kind of TikTok or IG influencer, annoys the hell out of me. Seems phony.

I think that’s a regional ad.
I’ve never seen it since we don’t have a Dave’s Hot Chicken anywhere near us.

Neither do I. (or at least I've never seen one) It's been playing non-stop on PlutoTV.

They're like the Progressive employees. I actually like some of the Wendy's commercials, not for the "plot" of them but for the shenanigans of the individuals, similar to the Progressive commercials.

This commercial I absolutely loathe. The way the lady calls out Dr. Z with her obnoxious voice and they fact that they sometime play this commercial up to 5 times in a row is ridiculous. Also, the commercial is longer than this clip.

I keep seeing the 30-45 second version this one on Hulu with ads, and I absolutely fucking hate it.

So Brady is the asshole that popularized "Let's go?" I hate that slogan.

Everything Limu-Emu. And it gets played over and over again. I get that Liberty is in a competition with the other insurance companies, but damn, you have the worst commercials. Whomever at Liberty hired that marketing firm should be canned. There is nothing there that would convince me to switch to you.

Speaking of insurance commercials, for a while Progressive backed off Flo and had a bunch of ads featuring Jamie. Now, it looks they are starting a push with the Mara character.
