I don't know why I haven't explored this yet: Jake was an 8th grader who loved to smoke weed. He didn’t care much about school, grades, or anything else. He just wanted to get high and chill with his friends.
One day, he had a homework assignment for his English class. He had to come up with some slogans for a car company. He chose Nissan because he liked their logo. He didn’t bother to do any research or think of anything clever. He just wrote down whatever came to his mind while he was stoned.
The next day, he handed in his paper with the following slogans:
Little did he know that his post went viral. It caught the attention of a Nissan executive who was looking for some fresh and edgy ideas for their new marketing campaign. He loved Jake’s slogans and decided to use them for their ads. He contacted Jake and offered him a job as a creative consultant.
Jake couldn’t believe his luck. He accepted the offer and dropped out of school. He moved to Los Angeles and started working for Nissan. He got paid a lot of money and got to smoke weed all day. He became famous and successful.
He lived happily ever after.
The end.

In recent years I've just come to the realization that I must not be the market that car manufacturers are going for. I find most if not all of the car ads to be more annoying than funny. My wife would kill me if I bought a new car for her without consulting her, even if it is a gift (not like you can return it).
Like that Buick commercial, "it's so you" means that you're relatively wealthy and got all the bells and whistles?

No, it's because of the jingle. The kids could be starving orphans in my neighborhood but I'd find some other venue to help them rather than that just because of the jingle.

Really hate the "Dave's Not Hot Chicken" commercial. Something about that guy, who I assume is some kind of TikTok or IG influencer, annoys the hell out of me. Seems phony.

This commercial I absolutely loathe. The way the lady calls out Dr. Z with her obnoxious voice and they fact that they sometime play this commercial up to 5 times in a row is ridiculous. Also, the commercial is longer than this clip.

Everything Limu-Emu. And it gets played over and over again. I get that Liberty is in a competition with the other insurance companies, but damn, you have the worst commercials. Whomever at Liberty hired that marketing firm should be canned. There is nothing there that would convince me to switch to you.

Speaking of insurance commercials, for a while Progressive backed off Flo and had a bunch of ads featuring Jamie. Now, it looks they are starting a push with the Mara character.
