I like that one. Make me chuckle.
Almost seems like she went off script cause she’s talking right over that guy.

Well, it's that time of year where a spouse surprises their significant other with a $35,000+ car...

I love that bit! It is literally what was meant to 'sell' the commercial

On either the 30th or the 31st I saw both Christmas and Halloween based commercials for Walmart within the same commercial break of the show.

There's that one commercial where he surprises her with two identical trucks, one for her and one for him.

And another where they're a bit more realistic and admit the people are just buying cars for themselves and putting a bow on it.

Ever since Bailey sang that in an episode of WKRP a long time ago, I've wondered where that came from.

Yeah, this one kills me. It's also always the ridiculously expensive cars too. You never see a Christmas ad where people are giving each other matching Subarus, Kias or Hyundais.

If you truly loved someone, you'd get them a luxury car or a gigantic truck, not a regular-old car (and you're absolute trash if you settle for a used one!)

I have a hard time seeing that commercial without yelling at the TV about how stupid he is. Look at that $10 million dollar house behind them. That idiot can get all the trucks he wants and throw them in the fireplace to keep warm. This commercial isn't even aspirational, It's insulting.

I hate it so much.

Maybe he lives in Texas and not CA or something and that property is only worth like 750 grand?

The most pretentious to me are the McConaughey Lincoln commercials. Especially when his voice then comes on a Carls Jr. ad.

When I'm done rolling up this booger, should I eat it or flick it out the window?

I actually like that one. The accent is supposed to be fake and I find it pretty funny.

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

Is there a thread for commercials we like?

30 Rock fans should like this Allstate one that brings Tina Fey and the Mayhem / Dennis Duffy actor from 30 Rock back together... even has a callback to how his character always called her character "dummy", as she asks "who's the dummy now?"

Seriously? I'm the only one who hates this? This is like when I went to see Rogue One, and was shocked afterwards that not only did my friends not hate it, they actually enjoyed it/

I like the Gordon Ramsay one too. It kinda reminds me of his Muppet appearance.

After seeing it again, it looks like a truck and an SUV.

No I want to punch her right in the throat the second she starts with that accent.

There's a Verizon commercial on now that drives me nuts, because it uses the same music that the British Baking Show using during the final moments of a bake. Just hearing that music stresses me out!

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

A lot of people hate this ad

Peloton, the indoor bike start-up, released a new holiday ad that in another time may not have made a dent in the cultural conversation.

But this is 2019, and once the internet found the ad and pulled at its seams, there was no turning back.
Social media is awash in critics who have seen the ad and are confounded by its aims, accusing Peloton of peddling negative body image, unchecked privilege, and gross marital dynamics.

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

So sick of the USPS Xmas ad with the "There's no place like home for the holidays..." song playing in the background. Ugh, it plays non-stop all day...
