 Well, Joe went out in a blaze of glory last night.

Hell of a way to finally end the Joe-Ryan saga, but it definitely ran it's course.

But, I read that Purefoy will appear in some hallucinations and flashbacks in the remaining episodes. But Joe is gone for good now.

If this gets a fourth season, it will be revealed that the people who administered Joe's execution were followers and faked his death.

I totally expected that to happen when they blocked the windows off from the viewers. Everyone in the room with Joe was one of his followers and they would show Joe opening his eyes. They could have given him something to slow down his breathing and everything else could have been an act by Joe.

Biggest nitpick is if that he killed someone else while in custody, they would postpone the execution to let those charges play out.

If Theo wasn't working so well as the new big bad, I might think that as well.

I think Joe will be back if it's renewed. My first thought when they closed the viewer was that he was still alive.
