"All Star Team Up" - (8:00-8:59:40 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

ARROW'S FELICITY SMOAK (EMILY BETT RICKARDS) AND RAY PALMER (BRANDON ROUTH) ARRIVE IN CENTRAL CITY; EMILY KINNEY ("The Walking Dead") GUETS STARS AS BRIE LARVIN - Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They've come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it's all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster.

Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu (#118). Original airdate 4/14/2015.

I liked this episode. It was fun and seeing Ray and Felicity on the show was pretty nice. I forgot how charming Felicity was when she isn't being moody on Arrow. It also shows just how charming Ray can be too when he isn't being brought down on Arrow. The new version of BEB wasn't too bad. Liked Ray and Cisco bonding over the name.

The Atom suit looked good and I wish we would see more of it. It's done really well on a TV budget. Liked the ending too. One thing this show does really well is blend in the light heartedness with the seriousness effectively.

The whole point of this episode seemed to be so Ray could have his "inspiration".

Liked everything except for the way Iris was handled. Was hoping for some more Grog action but I guess he will show up sooner or later.

The Atom's suit looked a lot better in action on the Flash than it did on Arrow. Emily Kinney's role wasn't particularly big for a guest villain, she got crowded out by Ray and Felicity showing up as well.

Felicity had some funny stuff to say as usual. My favorite scene was Barry treating the ordinary robbers like afterthoughts. It's nice they acknowledged that regular thieves and criminals wouldn't pose him a challenge.

"It's a bird." "It's a plane." Well done. Fun episode all around. The Felicity/Ray stuff was very "cute."

The Iris stuff feels forced. Like they're trying hard to give Eddie a reason to turn on Barry.

How can Arrow and the Flash both be so good in early seasons and make the female leads so hateable?

I find it hard to believe Barry would find a swarm of robotic bees a challenge. All he would need to do is spin in a circle at superspeed or something to knock them out of the air.

Thought this was a pretty good episode overall. Some good lines by Felicity.

I do too. But I try to give THIS Barry the benefit of the doubt as he's still brand new to the gig. The Flash I know from the comic books has been doing this for many years.

So this. After a few episodes of not having this issue, and even starting of this last episode right, they go right back to ridiculousness. The bees would have been no more of a challenge that the guys at the beginning. They even included a line of dialog that was 100% correct in saying they couldn't move fast enough to be a problem, and then without any rationale, they were!

Otherwise great episode other than the annoying and soapy Iris stuff.

Interesting that they're having the timeline bleed over like that for Cisco. I wonder why it's happening for Cisco and no one else?

What could cause Eddie to shoot those two cops in the trailers? Mind control?

Maybe because Cisco was the only one killed in the alternate timeline (or because of how he was killed)? In the end it's just a plot device.

I think it is really clever and lessens my hatred of the "reset" they did.

I'm guessing either Grodd mind controlling him or a shape shifter because there's a scene with 2 Barry's as well (unless that's past and present Barry).

I really enjoyed this episode but... Did they have to make Iris even more of a bitch? Barry gives her what she acknowledges is a good reason for Eddie to keep secrets from her but she pretty much says "fuck that shit. Tell me everything or I'll dump your ass."

The producers definitely haven't done anything this season to make Iris an appealing romantic partner. Since her brief flirtation with the Flash, she has come off pretty poorly.

I just think Iris is ready to bone Barry or Flash.

Which is great if brother/sister action is your thing. Maybe Iris can die in a horrible CC Jitters accident and they can bring a new Iris who isn't essentially his sister...perhaps a second or third cousin.

so is ATOM ever going to fucking shrink or is he just going to be a glorified Iron Man?

I had the opposite reaction. Reset or not. Anything else is ridiculous. One of the reasons many people hate time travel plots.

So true. Doesn't help that the actress is terrible and they have no chemistry, even if you look at them as a brother and sister that are supposedly real close.

But at least it's better than when real lovers off screen are made to play brother and sister and they don't curb the obvious romantic feelings for each other on-screen

Re: The Flash (S1E18) -- "All-Star Team-Up" -- 4/14/15

Eddie should have just told Iris the secret is he has worked cases with Flash. He didn't want to tell her to keep her out of danger. Its the truth. He just doesn't have to tell the other part of the secret. No lying involved.

Still not totally understanding why Reverse Flash (RF) needed to take Well's place. Why not just set up a company as himself? Also, I wonder if he is just inhabiting Well's body. Most of the time, it is Well's we see. Then RF can take control when needed. Maybe some of the RF's personality is bleeding over to explain why Well's seemed so different to others. Unless they are firing the actor, maybe Flash will find a way to separate Well's from RF.
