But when an opportunity presents itself with the chance to get evidence to clear Spencer's name, the girls and their partners devise a plan to get justice for Mona and finally bring Alison down. If the plan is successful, it could be a very Merry Christmas after all.

Meanwhile, Alison gets a glimpse at the past, present and future by a ghostly presence.

Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. I watched this earlier. There were things I liked and things i didn't like. At first, I thought Mona's body was be discovered by the end of the episode, but it wasn't. The Christmas Carol take on PLL worked out ok. I'm not surprised that a certain minor character returned.

This was the best PLL holiday special. Seeing ghost Mona haunt Ally was pretty fun and a bit campy. I am surprised no one put up an image of Spence in her Christmas outfit.

I did like the nod to Rear Window with Toby.

Yes, Spencer was looking extra hot in this episode. So not much was revealed that we didn't already know or suspect. Can't wait for it to return.

THE LIARS ARE ON A HUNT FOR JUSTICE IN THE WINTER SEASON PREMIERE OF "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS," PREMIERING TUESDAY, JANUARY 6TH AT 8:00 PM ET/PT ON ABC FAMILY

Premiere Follows an All-Day "Pretty Little Liars" Marathon from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET/PT

Burbank, CA (Dec. 10, 2014) - Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are determined to prove Alison killed Mona in "Through a Glass, Darkly," the winter season premiere of ABC Family's hit original series "Pretty Little Liars," premiering Tuesday, January 6th (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT). Fans can prepare for the return to Rosewood in an all-day marathon starting at 12:00 PM (ET/PT) and running up to the one-hour winter season premiere at 8:00 PM (ET/PT).

Three months have passed, and Mona's friends and family are still mourning their loss and more adamant than ever that Alison had something to do with Mona's death. Ready to put "A's" game to an end and get justice for Mona, the PLLs ramp up their search for evidence that could prove Alison killed Mona. But with Alison claiming her innocence and having a seemingly airtight alibi, the Liars may have to resort to more shady tactics to put Ali away.

Meanwhile, Emily and Paige reach a crossroad in their relationship, and Aria starts to worry about her future.

"Pretty Little Liars" is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. So, now we're being led to believe Alison isn't A? The blonde attacking Mona looked like they were wearing a wig.

Re: Pretty Little Liars (S5E14) -- "Through a Glass, Darkly" -- 1/6/15

Caught this earlier today (Yup I know it's 1 week late since a new episode airs tonight)

Anyways, decent start to winter season. Not surprised that Alison was a big fat red herring. Alison getting bitched slapped by Mona's Mom was awesome. I guess Paige is being written out with her moving to California? She only pops in every now and then and it seems like she's fighting more with Em than being her loyal girlfriend.

Even though Janel Parrish is no longer a permanent cast member, I could still see her popping in as a guest star in flashbacks. She did in this episode.

The producers definitely liked Parrish as Mona, I have a strong hunch Mona was originally intended to be the actual A.

I will say this season has been better written episode to episode.

Pretty Little Liars (S5E15) -- "Fresh Meat" -- 1/13/15

THE FUTURE IS NOT LOOKING SO BRIGHT FOR SOME OF THE LIARS IN AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS," PREMIERING TUESDAY, JANUARY 13TH AT 8:00 PM ET/PT ON ABC FAMILY

Burbank, CA (December 19, 2014) - Spencer and Toby are at odds while Emily and Aria struggle with situations that are out of their control in "Fresh Meat," an all-new episode of ABC Family's hit original series "Pretty Little Liars," premiering Tuesday, January 13th (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT).

Toby's new position in the Rosewood police department was to give the PLLs an upper hand on finally closing the door to Ali/"A's" game. But when a surprising bit of evidence show's up, Toby is put in a difficult position with his job and with Spencer. Not one to trust the police or evidence "surprisingly" showing up, Spencer tries to convince Toby to stray from his moral gut reaction, which puts stress on their relationship.

Meanwhile, Emily and Aria take drastic measures to keep control of situations that are out of their hands and that could affect their future.

Good Lord! When will they ever learn not to try and hide evidence? I'm really starting to think Paige is A. Probably not, but frame looked the same as A last week.

There are tons of Paige is A theories out there and some are actually quite good. But I've always had the feeling that Paige is shady, but not A. The actress playing Paige was in a Instagram video last week and she said that no one is ever gone from Rosewood. It looks like she will be back later on.

I have thought Paige is A since soon after she was introduced on the show.

How old is Jason supposed to be? 21 or 22? Good job getting it on with the cougar that is Hannah's mom. I at Hannah's reaction seeing him.

Trying to hide evidence will always bite you in the ass.

When Jason was introduced I think he was supposed to barely be older than Allison.

Pretty Little Liars (S5E16) -- "Over a Barrel" -- 1/20/15

Secrets are hard to keep, especially when you are keeping them from a loved one. Spencer searches for Mona's missing laptop with Caleb's help but where the search leads them could cross the "Toby approved" line. Aria tries to get up the courage to come clean to Ezra about her lie when she gets diverted by a possible goose chase. And Hanna is stuck in the middle having to cover Ashley's secret when Pastor Ted returns with big news.

Meanwhile, Emily has to put up with Talia's annoying suggestions at work, as she struggles to come to terms with the end of her relationship with Paige.

A bit of a boring episode. I wonder what is up with Hanna possibly being framed. I also wonder if something will happen between Emily and the chef later on this season.

Kind of a boring filler episode. Nothing really major happened.

Poor Pastor Ted. I feel bad for the guy.

Aria's guilt about that letter she wrote is kind of a silly subplot.

And I wonder where they are going with that new chef character working with Em.

It was hilarious when Aria's letter printed out on the receipt in the coffee store. It is a silly storyline.

They could get rid of Aria and I wouldn't care. I think Holbrook is in the barrel. New chef and Emily are going to get together. Poor Ted. He's clueless.

Found a podcast called Bros Watch PLL Too. Pretty funny. I need to go back and hear old seasons of the podcast.

I was recently introduced to that podcast and I agree it is funny and great.

I also feel bad for Ted. He is one of the few characters that seems to be completely innocent, in everything, that goes on with the girls and their families.

Pretty Little Liars (S5E17) -- "The Bin of Sin" -- 1/27/15

Suspecting that Alison/"A" is out to frame her for Mona's murder, Hanna is not willing to just sit by and let it happen. When Caleb and her friends try to come up with a safe plan to get Hanna off the hook, it isn't good enough for her. Taking her fate into her own hands, Hanna strikes out alone to clear her name.

Meanwhile, relationships are tested when Aria comes clean to Ezra and Spencer's shady actions continue to put Toby in a bind at work.

Well, we now know that something will indeed happen to Emily and the chef.

Jason is creepy with Hanna's mom.
