Nice seeing Ryan Hansen from VERONICA MARS make a guest appearance in the last episode.

Overall I am enjoying this series.

What are the ratings like? Strong enough for a second season?

Yes they are good for The CW. It's pretty much a certainty this will get a second season.

CW doesnt cancel anything. Even Reign got renewed and like 3 people watch that show.

Reign got renewed because it's dirt-cheap to make, since it's a co-production.

That's not the point being made. Unlike Reign, iZombie is not a co-production, thus, they're not sharing the cost with another studio.

The CW has 4 shows on its roster with lower ratings than iZombie and all 4 were renewed. Heart of Dixie had significantly worse ratings and it got 4 seasons. As a general rule the CW doesn't cancel shows. Especially after one season.

I'm halfway through the last week's episode, but might drop this one. It's OK I guess, but haven't felt really compelled to tune in.

I feel the same way and definitely wanted to like this more.

I'll still watch it through the end of the season and try it again next season, but if I still feel disinterested after 2-3 episodes next season, I won't keep watching.

There are already 2 shows I don't seem to be able to drop despite the fact that I basically sleep through each episode, New Girl and Once Upon A Time, I don't need another.

I am still loving this show. I like how they keep adding to the mythology while exploring the cases & the different personality types. It's a lot of fun, and I just love the whole cast they are great.

Looking forward to season 2. I was a bit worried about it.

I'm in the same boat. After every episode I'm like, meh. They have managed to make a milquetoast show where the main character is a zombie. It should be more interesting than it is.

It's still pretty much Veronica Mars as a Zombie. That's not to say that's a bad thing, I just wish there was more to it.

Anyone else still watching? Any thoughts?

I'm still on undecided on this show. I'm not really that into the serial plots (Max Rager, Blaine) and yet at the same time the procedural crime of the week storylines often seem like a distraction. The weekly personality shift gimmick is OK, but also silly at times. The best thing the show has going for it is some good dialog and a couple of likable characters, but I'm not sure that's enough.

I like it enough to keep watching until the end of the season. After that, I'm not sure.

It seems to be ramping up and it's becoming more serialized as opposed to the mystery of the week stories. It's still figuring out what it wants to be, which is understandable. Hopefully it will come together in the next few weeks.

I am still watching it & liking it a lot. I love all the main characters, which is more than enough for me.

It looks like they are expanding the story each week, making it more and more interesting. Look forward to seeing where it all goes.

I'm enjoying it. I like the serialized elements, but am worried about what comes after the "secrets" are revealed. It'll probably be fine, but some shows of course do struggle once the initial dramatic tension has been dealt with.

I like how quirky this show is, but after watching an episode, most of the time I don't really feel compelled to talk about it.

No mention of other Veronica Mars alum on the show? I just saw the guy who played Wallace.

Bring on Kristen Bell!

Re: iZombie (CW) - Season 1 Thread - From creator Rob Thomas - premieres 3/17/15

I'm still liking this show quite a bit. The lead is cute as hell, the underlying serial plots are advancing, and the case of the week stuff doesn't get tedious.

Major was kind of a dud to start the series, but he's become my favorite character. He has some of the best lines.

Overall, the supporting cast is really good, weakest link is probably the detective, but he's got his moments. The zombie rocker was just ok, but that's a moot point now.

As far as the similarities to VM, i never really watched that show (just a few episodes here and there). But maybe i need to binge-watch some, because i like the style.
