Second time that the church has been damaged. At least this time, they are not going for the corporate sponsorship.

It was an okay episode tonight but probably one of the weaker this season. The part with Wiggum at the beginning was alright but I enjoyed the montage for next week's episode at the end more. The main story with the church being damaged and the scheme to cheat at blackjack to get money was just okay. Probably the best parts were when Apu was getting the group ready. I did find the scene with the Lovejoy's role-playing sort of funny, especially when Helen told him to bring Marge in.

I kind of liked the card counting ring... and the whole bit at the end with the corporate executive calling around to see who was in and could authorize Homer's release.

I'm surprised they didn't mention Marge's past gambling problems, especially since it's come up in several episodes.

I just finished it and, too, was wondering why Gamblor went unmentioned.

Lisa referenced Marge's gambling addiction (though subtly).

Was the guy at the end a real person I'm supposed to know doing a cameo? It didn't sound like one of the regular voices and his line reading was atrocious.

Huh. Then that went over my head. Another big piece of retconning was the disregarding of the fact that Apu went to Cal Tech (Calcutta Tech)!

I couldn't place the voice at the end, either. I read elsewhere that it was Nathan Fielder, who has his own Comedy Central show. I've heard of him, but never watched his stuff. I thought it was the guy who does Tina on Bob's Burgers doing his normal speaking voice.

The Sky Police skit or whatever with Chief Wiggum was a little weird. I wonder if it was a rejected Halloween segment? I've gotten the feeling they've been taking rejected Halloween segments and placing them with minor alterations as the first part of some episodes.
