I hope Saul's 2 goons from Breaking Bad make an appearance this season.

Excellent as always.

So, perhaps a dumb question, but I guess this show takes place in the same "universe" as Breaking Bad? I mean I know it's a spinoff for Saul's character, but this is the same Saul that ends up in Breaking Bad, kind of an origin story?

Yes, definitely the same Saul.

It's not the color. It's the design. They have used the same pattern through both series. I believe this is the second time they appeared in Better Call Saul.

I'm still not seeing it but I could be wrong. Like I mentioned that's a fairly common design for tiles like that.

I thought the nursing home Saul was visiting was the same as the one Hector was in and that Walt blew up, but wasn't sure until I saw that link posted by dex14.

Can't believe I didn't catch that it's the same nursing home that will one day suffer an explosive fate.

Makes you wonder if Tio got Saul to make out a will...

That's plausible, but I hope not because I'm dying to see Hector before the stroke.

Does anything happen after that girl drives past Mike? I got a phone call and missed the end.

The next day (or maybe later that same day) some police show up at Mike's front door. He says something like "You're a long way from home" and they respond with "So are you". Then you get the credits.

The jazz club guy from Collateral! He's awesome.

Cool.

This episode, though?
The show is good enough, I guess. I just don't find it that compelling yet.

I'm just a whiner, though.

Not alone. After the 3rd or 4th scene of Saul visiting a bad potential client, I was bored.

I loved this episode. One of my favorites so far. The only episode I didn't really care for was the third one. Kinda thought it was boring.

Ha ha, if you think anything on this show was a coincidence in referencing something else or framing. Bullshit indeed and you should know better. The BaBr crew go the extra mile to make sure everything is thought out to the tiniest detail.

Is it possible that BB's crew chose that particular camera angle and that particular row of chairs to get the two squares with corners touching in the shot? Sure.

Is it plausible that BB's crew had the existing floor pattern in the hospital changed to get those two squares to touch corners? I doubt it.
