Why would the skin color of a police officer, who was a minor character at that, have any bearing on whether or not you liked the show? As long as the major characters are the right race and sex (Thor was not a woman) I don't have any problem with it. Not everyone is lily white.
As to the show, I enjoyed it and hope it comes back with even more episodes.

I like Peggy Carter a shit ton more than any of the cast from Agents. The show did lose it's steam once the Stark bit was over. Kind of trickled down a lot. Some good ups and some downs but it did lose it's steam. Weak last episode. Kind of wished it could have just ended w/ just showing off the short.

I was hoping the last scene in the office would have been the arrival of Bradley Whitford as John Flynn, the new Chief at the S.S.R. who would immediately downplay all of Peggy's efforts. That would have dovetailed nicely into the Marvel One Shot.

Glad I wasn't the only one disappointed with the show. I struggled to get through all the episodes and don't even care if I watch the finale to be honest. Is the final episode worth watching at all or would it be better to just read a synopsis? I don't really want to devote any more of my time to the show.
I agree with resinrat's comments that this would probably work better as a tight, less than two hour TV movie. This entire season could have been better served in that format though I don't know if it would have made the story any more interesting.
I tried Avengers and gave up in the middle of the first season and did the same with Green Arrow. Since people seem to be saying that those are worth watching now, I gave Agent Carter more of a try then those two but came away disappointed. The Flash has been the only recent comic show to engage me and keeps me coming back (though it does have its faults as well). I forgot to DVR Gotham in the beginning and never got around to watching it since they took away the beginning episodes on HULU and with On Demand (which confuses the shit out of me why networks do this).
On to the next new comic book show...

For me, overall I liked SHIELD better then Carter, mostly due to the scope of the show and the more interesting story line as far as SHIELD, Hydra, and the Inhumans go. I liked the smaller scale of Carter's setting and involvement with Captain America though, i'm actually surprised to see a bunch of negative reactions since the first episode seemed to be really positive.

Too bad I saw the Kingsmen before I watched this episode (or was it last episode) as the movie theatre scene seemed all rehashed.

I thought the first couple of episodes were really good, smart stuff. In fact, put them together and it felt like they were from a movie treatment or developed script.
I never made it past the fifth episode, if that tells you anything. I didn't like the tact they took with Peggy's role in the spy agency or how they portrayed any of her relationships with the other men. I did like Jarvis a great deal, he was the show's saving grace.

I enjoyed the whole series. Episode 7 was my favorite of the season.
Overall, the series was good in my opinion, but nothing I will miss if it doesn't get renewed. Not a classic by any means. Just something to pass the time.
Hated Agents of Shield, so at least Agent Carter kept me entertained.

Couple of the middle episodes dragged, but overall I thought it was really well done. Loved it and hope they create a second season.

My wife felt the show was just OK until the mission with the Howling Commandos, where the SRS agents finally understood just how experienced and capable Peggy really was, and began to show her some respect. From that point on, she loved the show. I enjoyed it from the beginning, and inderstood that like Agents of Shield, it would likely be a slow burn.

Interview discussing parts of the end, including Zola.

IGN: The Zola scene at the end was very fun, especially since from the moment the show was announced, people have been wondering if you were going to bring up the Hydra situation.
Butters: One of the things that I love about being able to do that was, again, it really ties in to the Winter Soldier program, it ties in to Hydra. To me, it makes us a necessary piece.
Fazekas: This is something that I believe, when we pitched this idea to Marvel -- that there’d be Faustus and he has the ability to hypnotize people -- Marvel were the ones that said we could tie it into the Winter Soldier program. They were so open to connecting it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we had sort of, jokingly, said months ago, wouldn’t it be great to get Toby Jones? And we never thought it would happen. Then we got to, “Let’s just see if he’s available.” “He’s available.” “Let’s just see if we can afford him.” “We can afford him.” And it happened. So he came out here for one scene and we were very happy to have him.

IGN: Lastly, I have to ask the obvious question which is, what are you hearing about the future?
Fazekas: Honestly, we have nothing concrete. ABC, in our experience with them, typically waits until right before May Upfronts before they give anything out.
Butters: We’re very hopeful. We would love to do a second season. We think there’s a lot more story to be told.
Fazekas: And the ratings have been ticking up. I feel like people really seemed to love last week’s episode, so I hope that people like it and want to see it some more.

I like Hayley Atwell. I like the character of Peggy Carter. However, the 8 episode season was uneven to say the least. I just hope that if there's a 2nd season, we can start with Agent Carter as an equal and no more of "I'm a woman, so I'm treated less worthy" scenes. This show has potential and the new season could use more James D'Arcy and Lyndsy Fonseca.

I'd like to see it back, too. I think it's good for the Marvel universe to have stories about the early days of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I only made it through four episodes of this. Haley Atwell is great and the look of the show was cool, but I didn't find the story engaging at all and it doesn't live up to the espionage genre it's supposed to fit into. If it wasn't associated with the MCU, I probably wouldn't have even gotten through four of them.

Good to hear it got renewed. I wasn't sure about it when it started, but I ended up liking this show better than Agents of SHIELD.
