The Vampire Diaries (S6E13) -- "The Day I Tried to Live" -- 2/5/15

"The Day I Tried to Live" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BONNIE - Determined to celebrate Bonnie's (Kat Graham) birthday, Elena (Nina Dobrev) convinces Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that it's what Bonnie would have wanted. After piecing the broken ascendant back together, Elena, Jeremy and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attempt to send Bonnie a message, but the situation turns dire when they make an unsettling discovery. Meanwhile, after uncovering Stefan's (Paul Wesley) secret about his great-niece Sarah Salvatore (guest star Tristan Mays), Enzo (Michael Malarkey) enlists a reluctant Matt (Zach Roerig) to help interfere with her life. Elsewhere, Stefan keeps a close eye on Caroline (Candice Accola) as she unconventionally attempts to cope with everything going on around her. Lastly, realizing it might be time to move on with his life, Jeremy contemplates leaving Mystic Falls for good. Pascal Verschooris directed the episode written by Chad Fiveash & James Stoteraux (#613). Original airdate 2/5/2015.

Interesting episode.

They set up Steven McQueen's departure from the show. For those who aren't aware, he's leaving the show and won't be a regular in season 7.

Looks like Bonnie is on her way back. I'm glad. This arc with her on the other side has dragged on longer than it should have.

And yes, someone needs to kill Kai badly.

I can see how this show isn't really a draw here anymore. The story arcs have gotten quite convoluted in the last few seasons. And now there are so many characters. It's really not a casual viewing show anymore. It's become quite tough to follow. Even I have trouble figuring out what the hell is going on sometimes. It was a pretty simple vampire show in seasons 1-2, now it's so all over the place with witches, magic and no one ever dying for good.

The show definitely needs Bonnie back. With the Originals and Katherine gone, this show has struggled to find decent villains. I think they plan to turn Enzo into that kind of villain very soon.

I've been enjoying this season of ORIGINALS more than VD, never thought that would happen.

Of course you liked it more a venereal disease. It is crazy to even compare the two. You should also get that checked out.
