Just finished it. not as crazy insane as last week, but still good. Some good character moments. That's what's good about Banshee. They manage to find a good balance between insanity and developing the characters.

A few highlights to mention:

Burton and Rebecca playing chicken with the Indians transporting Chayton's brother. Those two need to get a room. ;) when Burton took off the glasses when he was ready to enter the morgue and then put them back on.

Hood and Proctor's fight. Very gritty and well choreographed.

And then Holy shit that cliffhanger with Chayton's assault on the station. -eek-

Can't wait until next Friday

Hood and Proctor round two. That was brutal. The game of chicken was silly, but was to be expected I guess.

I need to check out the Banshee Origins scenes. Haven't been watching those this season.

All around badassness.

$75 for a video game? What the hell is right!

Holy shit that fight at the end with Proctor and Hood. The tribe taking down the police station!

This show is so batshit insane and it is spectacular. No idea where the fuck it goes, but I enjoy the hell out of the ride each week. Looks like we are going see some people die next week. Wonder who bites it.

I assume that Chayton is going after Proctor, but how could he know that Kai would be at the police station (Cadi)? He brought literally everything, so someone else is informing him?

Let's not forget Billy Raven who killed his brother. Not sure if Chayton knows that or not.

^^^^^^^^^^^ This is what makes the show great, as it is one of the few shows I have ever watched that have BadAss action episodes, yet still have great character development.

Although my one worry is that they are getting farther and farther away from the original premise of the show, and won't know where to go in the future and rely on more of the badass episodes rather then developing characters. As long as the show keeps up a good balance, it will stay great.

Yeah I thought this show does a good job of having quieter character moments in between the action. Can't wait for next weeks episode where it looks like we get Assault On Banshee Precinct 13. Especially love how they brought in a bunch of random cannon fodder.

One complaint is that Lili Simmons hasn't been naked enough this season. Or been barefoot enough. But damn do I love her character.

I haven't liked her character at all this season. I liked the rebellious Amish girl seemingly torn between two worlds. Now she's just a psycho thrill-junkie having gross incest scenes with her uncle.

I didn't buy that scene at all - dumb, even for this show. Just the contrivance of the van stopping and noticing the stopped Mercedes at least a mile away (who would do that), to the sudden swerving, again, WTF? If they went head on, the van would've killed the Mercedes.

Hood and Proctor's fight. Very gritty and well choreographed.
That was also stupid, because you know nothing's going to happen to either character, and again, way contrived, just so they can both be at the station when the Indians attack. Stupid. This show's starting to lose me.

Yeah, there totally hasn't been anything unrealistic in the show in the past.

My issue isn't with realism, but with logic.

And again I ask, have you been watching the show? Logic has very little value in shows like this.

Not really. Hood wasn't sure if he was going to be turned in so he went there to kill Proctor. He didn't, they fought and he was arrested for assaulting an officer.

It used to. Or else I would've ditched it, day one. The show's breaking it's own rules. If you don't care to follow logic, why not just watch a bunch random fight scenes strung together with no rhyme or reason?

So, it's totally logical that a guy takes over another guy's identity, who happens to be the incoming sheriff. Then, when the imposter guy shows up, nobody knows it's not the real guy because they somehow hired a guy without seeing him first. Yup, totally logical. Do you want me to continue?

The entire premise of the show is so absurdly illogical that if you want to start complaining about it not being logical, you should just give up the show now.

Re: Banshee (S3E04) -- "Real Life is the Nightmare" -- 1/30/15

All of that, while absurd, made sense within the show.
It's not the absurdity, it's that the show is making less and less sense.
Seems like you're just distracted by all the cool action scenes and don't care if it makes sense. Which is fine, but don't pretend like I'm the one missing something.

all this discussion on logic and man impermeability in a cruel world reminds me, when are we seeing meagan rath's titties. i am not getting any younger.

i have to admit finding out that shtako headed son on Defiance is her brother ruined it for me. now i see his face every time i see her.

i sincerely hope there is a way for Siobhan to survive this. i think she is really good for Hood and i want him to be happy for awhile longer before the universe stomps on his dreams of happiness some more.
