Last season of Justified - while weak compared to other seasons - is better than almost every other show out there.

Re: Justified (S6E01) -- Season Premiere -- "Fate's Right Hand" -- 1/20/15

I didn't do an actual list, but I doubt Justified would have made my top 25 shows last year, which is getting to the bottom of what I watch on TV. Honestly, when they got to the back half of the season, and I could tell it wasn't going anywhere interesting it was a real chore to get through some of those episodes.

Still, I really enjoyed seasons 1-2, and 4 so hopefully they have some good ideas on how to close out this season. I am optimistic.

Good to have this back.

Hoping to get at least one "fire in the hole" scene this year from Boyd; and if they go the bank robbing route that they seemed to allude to last season, I think it's likely. Also hope Tim and Rachel have a more prominent role this year, and the writers remember that there's no such thing as too much Wynn Duffy!

Also eager to see Elliot and Dillahunt; while they are no Manson and Courtney Love, I think they should be pretty solid editions.

I never get tired of scenes like the one between Art and Raylan.

Yeah, they're apparently going all-out bad with Boyd, which I'm OK with, and I wonder if either him or Raylan dies in the end...

The steering wheel smash of Dewey was a nice tip of the hat to the first episode of the series, where he did the same thing (though broke his nose I think). Dewey was a great character, but his future was not bright.

The last shot of Boyd looking over a sleeping Ava was menacing.

The final scene with Dewey, I thought to myself that someone should just put him out of his misery. While funny as comic relief, he was just so pathetic.

Poor Dewey. Boyd is full on crazy bad now. Going to be an interesting season.

So, what are the thoughts on Dillahunts character? Seemed like such an odd exchange with him wanting to buy the house in all cash. Is he mob related? Miami stuff?

I wonder if Dewey had too many projects going on and asked to be written out. He's in Flesh and Bone, in post production, and is in Battle Creek which is currently filming. Damon is a busy man.

Loved that they were drinking Blanton's which I just happened to be drinking while watching this.

Ah, Dewey, it was only a matter of time. I'll miss all your stupid antics.

Re: Justified (S6E01) -- Season Premiere -- "Fate's Right Hand" -- 1/20/15

Good start - would have liked to see more of what Dillahunt's role is , but I imagine they will ease him and Elliot in. I didn't care for the stuff in Mexico (it was a bit over the top for this show) but loved Raylan taking the guy in the house out with the shovel and then deadpanning "Halt, US Marshalls"

Have to wonder if Ava is long for this world too, though maybe Boyd will have a blindspot with her if he's still in love. His character has always been one step ahead of people through the run of this show, so it will be somewhat disappointing if he doesn't figure it out (with him sitting over her at the end maybe he has already?)

Hey he was just trying to save them the "nalgigence" and mal-fee-essence" " lawsuit!
I'll miss Dewey but with the series winding down the need for his comic relief was probably not that great.

Nice start. Didn't think Dewey would go so soon, but as soon as he was out (with what he knew about Mexico) his days were numbered.
Really interested to see what they do with Dillahunt, I think he'll fit into this show perfectly.

Yeah, curious if dillahunt is there to circle back to miami and the beginning. I want to see dillahunt and wynn duffy in a debate in his RV.

So glad this is back, just hate that this is the end.

Couldn't tell if the conversation between Raylan and Art was foreshadowing a possible downbeat end. Just hope the series has an ending and no fades.

Sorry to say goodbye to Dewey so early in the season.

Come on, it's Elmore Leonard, you think this is going to be one of those happy endings to this series?

Yeah, I don't see a single way that Boyd and Raylan end this series alive.

They definitely have Boyd in full-on bad guy mode, with all the shots of his nazi tattoos (and of course killing Dewey).
