No "Rose" is without a thorn in SCHITT'S CREEK, as the critically lauded scripted comedy returns on Pop for No "Rose" is without a thorn in SCHITT'S CREEK, as the critically lauded scripted comedy returns on Pop for season three on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8:00 PM, ET/PT. Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy will make their comedic return as the Rose family in season three, which will also bring back cast regulars Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire and Jennifer Robertson. The third season will include 13 half-hour episodes. Viewers can catch-up on past seasons at poptv.com, video-on-demand through cable and satellite TV providers and on Amazon Prime. "I'm totally psyched about our upcoming third season which, I feel, is our strongest yet - our funniest and most emotionally satisfying 13 shows to date," said Eugene Levy. "SCHITT'S CREEK has emerged as both a critics' darling and a fan favorite, and we're thrilled to bring back our most-watched Pop original series to kick off the new year," said Justin Rosenblatt, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Pop. "The third season, dare I say it, is the best yet - featuring one of the best ensemble casts in television in a brilliantly written comedy that is heart-warming, clever and funny." In season three of SCHITT'S CREEK, the Roses find themselves at a crossroads between longing for the life of extreme wealth and extravagance they left behind and embracing the ho-hum, make-shift but loveable town they've reluctantly come to call home. While Johnny (Eugene Levy) continues to explore business opportunities that could help his family's plight, Moira (Catherine O'Hara) finds herself faced with difficulties while on the town council. Their adult children Alexis (Annie Murphy) and David (Daniel Levy) both realize their love lives are extremely complicated, neither one being able to fully break away from former relationships. While the Roses still hold out hope of returning to the lap of luxury, they continue to move forward with caviar dreams on a beer budget, realizing with each passing day that Schitt's Creek may be the best place for them after all (#MoneyCantBuyYouHappiness). Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
I binge watched this over the fall and am glad that the new season starts up again very soon. Looks like it will air on Pop network, they aired a "catch up special" last night and the show comes back on 1/24/18.
Anyone else planning to watch this? |

I recommend it without reservation. Also, unlike some other comedies I rate highly, my wife also gets a big kick out of this show (for instance, she considers 'Curb' just too darn mean ). If you are new to the show I also recommend not jumping in on season 4. Start from the beginning. |
Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
Looking forward to it, I really like the show. Last month I rewatched the first three seasons on Netflix in preparation for the new one.

Caught season 3 last year. Loved it, then promptly binged seasons 1 & 2.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
I was kind of cool on this one for a while but it was entertaining enough to keep going, I feel like it really hit its stride late in the 2nd season around the time of the internet nudes.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
Premieres 1/24/18 As season four of SCHITT'S CREEK begins, it seems the Roses have somewhat adjusted to the simple life in Schitt's Creek, the town that was once a thorn in their side. The family continues to lay down roots in pursuit of love, business and higher education. But of course, what would life for the Roses be without a little self-inflicted crazy? Series co-creators Eugene and Daniel Levy continue as executive producers. |
Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
first episode was pretty good. Only complaint is that the picture must not be in full HD as it was sort of terrible on my TV. Episode was for sure on par with the past seasons and seemed to pick up from just after season 3.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
interesting, the show is broadcast in SD on Comcast here in Mass, the picture quiality is pretty awful, even my 12 year old noticed. Last night when I was going to watch one of the recent episodes under ways to watch the damn show is streaming in HD for free on Comcast.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
The resolution is off on mine, like it's in HD but in a smaller box than it should be.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
I forgot that I should watch this on demand so I can see in HD because xfinity only offers it in SD and yikes it looks bad on my 4K tv. I was going to wait until season 4 hits Netflix which has it in HD but I will give on demand a try.
I should clarify that I watched the first 3 seasons in SD quality but when I noticed that Netflix had the show sometime last year I decided maybe I can be patient and wait to see it in a HD format. I think the show is great but the POP network only in SD sucks and I have a cable package that include most (all?) of the big pay cable channels (HBO/Starz/Showtime/Cinemax/TMC). TV land shows like Teachers and Let's Get Physical also only air in SD with my cable package...ughh. |
Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
Still watching and enjoying. Sometimes I wish there was a bit more depth to the characters. Don't really watch that many sitcoms so it stays in my viewing efforts. Does Mr. Salty still watch I wonder.

I don't really fear that the network wouldn't want to keep the show going, but I fear that the fantastic central cast will decide to move on to other things. Then again, this doesn't seem like a show that would demand a year-round effort and is more like getting together with your long-time friends (and family for the Levy clan) to make a show. An anecdotal observation on the show is that my young adult children and their friends who have seen the show all love it as well. It really has broad appeal. It is as if those that don't watch it only don't because they have yet to hear of it (being on POP and all). |

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
there was a Christmas episode that aired last night in the US. DVR picked it up. Havent watched it yet but wanted to give a heads up. I think its coming back soon for the next season.

Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
Yep, new season begins next month, can't wait!
A friend of mine lives near where much of the location footage is shot, and knows a couple folks who work on the show. I really need to find out when they film, I'd love to meet Chris Elliott. I just found out recently that Elliott's daughter Abby was originally cast as Alexis but had to drop out. That would have been interesting to see, but on the other hand, I think Annie Murphy kills it in this role. |
Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
I LOVE this show. I love the kids and their evolution (however slow) from vapid, spoiled trust fund brats to actual human beings.

A whole new season of Schitt's Creek is coming Wednesday, January 16, 10/9c--only on Pop. |
Re: Schitt's Creek -- S: Eugene Levy, Catherina O'Hara
This show is one of the few live action sitcoms that I actually like having on in the background.

Love the show - via Netflix. Wish Comcast had an HD POP in my area, but for me it's just SD.
Guess I will have to wait.... |

For some bizarre reason this show is broadcast in SD but is on demand in HD for me on Comcast. May want to check if its the same for you. We record the show but end up watching it on demand and use the recording as a "notification" we have a new episode to watch...
