Couldn't agree more. The 2009 episode actually made me miss the show. The finale... meh.

I agree, the 2009 episode reminded me of why I loved the show in the first place.

Finally forced myself to sit through these finale episodes too.

Agreed on the first half (2009) being the stronger one.

I loved seeing the backstory behind what we saw in the pilot episode. It was fun to flesh out all of the major characters after the fact altho the elephant in the room was the huge loss from Finn's character being talked about but not included in the lineup for obvious reasons. Some of these were over the top (I don't remember Mercedes and Rachel being nearly as cut throat to each other back when the show started) and others seemed right on (the reason for Kurt to join Glee club because of his father forcing him to join a 'team').

Of course all of the warm feelings of good will about the show went out the window when we go to the second half which showed the results of the characters 'five years later' into the future. Yes, it seemed inevitable that things would end with a scene of Rachel accepting a Tony and dedicating to Mr Scheu. But Sue becoming Vice President and Sam becoming the new leader of the Glee Club just seemed so cartoonish that I couldn't wait for things to wrap up.

The idea of them winning Nationals and Mr. Scheu's efforts leading to a resurgence of support for the arts in high schools across America culiminating in Blaine and Kurt at the Harvey Milk school for gay toddlers just felt like a joke compared to how better they executed the first hour of the finale.

It was great that they got 'nearly' everyone to show up for the ending tribute song but some of the cast barely had any camera time. Others were on enough for us to ask, why the hell they bothered? Brittany and Santana barely had 30 seconds, yet we had the fat bulldog cheek girl with glasses that Puck romanced as well as the dread locked kid from Season 3.

All in all, I think Glee's greatest legacy will be that I never want to watch an actor with down's syndrome portraying a character on TV again.

Six Feet Under: you still hold the crown for the greatest series finale episode in TV history. The competition from Glee wasn't even close despite them stealing from your toolbox.

I still like the St. Elsewhere and M*A*S*H finales better.

I thought the idea of a school for gay toddlers (which is what I thought it was, too), was ridiculously over the top like most of seasons 3 through 6 of glee.

So glad that most of the 'special interest' actors they put on this show have had shitty careers since glee.

Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), and worst of all Alex Newell (weird transvesite) have all done fuck all since glee

Even Puck has done nothing

I quite liked Glee in the beginning, mainly the musical performances, but when they started including every diversity group known to man in the show and it became mega preachy, it went downhill fast.

I wouldn't say Mark Salling has done nothing, though his lawyer might:

On December 29, 2015 Salling was arrested in connection with possession of child pornography. He was booked in downtown Los Angeles. Police obtained a warrant to search his house in Sunland, California where officers found hundreds of images on his computer. This was not his first brush with the law. He paid an ex-girlfriend $2.7 million for knocking her to the ground after she confronted him with a charge of sexual battery.

Chris Colfer has written several books, including six volumes in his Land of Stories fantasy series.

Several have been Fappening bait. One is dead and one is a child porn collector. One got kicked off early from DWTS along with the figure skater in spite of them being the only two who could dance. Two have their own show on the CW.

We enjoyed the show early on for all the musical performances and Jane Lynch's rants. Many times while I'm playing around on YouTube, their videos will pop up and I'll waste too much time watching them. For us, we just got tired of the high school drama. I know it's about kids in high school so I'm not faulting the show. We just tired of the love triangles and swapping partners. It happened in HS we just didn't find it good long term entertainment.

I'm sure many of those specialized character actors were pigeonholed or typecast and probably are only going to be good for reunion shows.

Can't forget this!

http://people.com/tv/naya-rivera-arr...west-virginia/

Former Glee star Naya Rivera was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after an alleged altercation with her husband Ryan Dorsey on Saturday night in Kanawha County, West Virginia, police confirm to PEOPLE.

According to authorities, a deputy responded to a domestic violence complaint in Chesapeake, West Virginia. Dorsey claimed to the responding deputy that Rivera struck him in the head and face. He had minor injuries consistent with his claims, and further showed authorities a video taken during the alleged incident.

In a video captured by local news station WSAZ (who was first to report the news), a soft-spoken Rivera is shown handcuffed and dressed down in a hoodie and dark pants while being arraigned. The outlet reports Rivera was released on a $1000 PR bond and picked up by her father-in-law.

A rep for Rivera did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Damn. I always found Rivera incredibly hot. I was disappointed she never leaked any photos.
