Damn, the first movie to air is a week from Saturday.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

What's interesting is they don't always hold back the best Christmas movies for December. The bigger stars are usually saved for December. One or two always seem to receive more polish and are clearly made to a higher standard, while the majority are cookie cutter formula movies.

Lifetime has already been airing Christmas movies for over a week.

Lifetime is also airing the college-payoff “ripped from the headlines” movie. Take that, Lori Laughlin!

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Now you can watch your iTunes movies/TV shows on a Roku device (newer models) via the Apple TV app on Roku. I have some iTunes Hallmark movies that I can watch in more places with a new Roku Express that I just bought. New Roku models purchased at Walmart currently include a $10 Vudu credit.

For more info see this article.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I went to the library and checked out a few Hallmark movies to watch. I got Christmas in Evergreen and Christmas Next Door dvds as a break between my horror challenge watching.

That's great. My library got some Hallmark titles last Christmas but I have yet to see any new Christmas releases from this year's crop of new releases...

Does your library offer Hoopla Digital? My library lets me get 12 titles a month. It's free with your library card and it's like Netflix but with your library card. They have a good selection of Hallmark titles and Christmas movies in general.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

My library always has plenty of Hallmark movies as they are very popular. I've never heard of Hoopla Digital but I wish they offered it.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

The Season 2 episode 101 - Something Wicked from The Good Witch series is also priced at $0.00 for the HD copy. There is no link I can post....scroll down the list of episodes and click on only the Something Wicked title. If I post a link you will only see the Season price which is higher. If you go to the individual episode for Something Wicked you can get this Halloween movie for free.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Thanks for the freebies! Not familiar with the series but I'm glad to try it, and it can even count for the Halloween challenge.

Glad you were able to get them. Happy to have learned about these (credit AnemicOak on the digital deals forum on bluray.com). I had purchased Season 5 on an Amazon misprice for $2.99 last year so I had the Halloween movie from S5 but had not seen the one from Season 2. I like the Good Witch Series. It's light and fun. When Calls the Heart is a little too saccharine for me. Good Witch is light drama and a lot of comedy from Martha... I have never seen Chesapeake Shores.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Haven't watched Hallmark Channel for a long while now. Not since I switched TV service providers.
It's a shame really since I won't be able to watch their Christmas-themed movies anymore.
Well, there's always Warner TV.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

You can get all three Hallmark channel's with Frndly TV for $5.99 a month. I think it's a few dollars more if you want to DVR.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

If you have Sirius Radio, the Hallmark channel will be starting to play Christmas music tomorrow on channel 70. Right now, it's a love song channel.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Lifetime has also kicked off their Christmas movies this week - they premiered the very strong "The Road Home To Christmas" which I recommend.

Thanks for posting this. That's not a bad price for all three movies considering just one HD title is 12.99.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Yep, that bundle is a good price considering their best sale for these is usually two for $10, and I used the $2 credit besides, Their war-veteran movies tend to push obvious emotional buttons, but I like them.

Was planning on doing the same..but worried about this potential sale of Vudu. Another owner could keep the service going but as Sony is shutting down Playstation Vue in January, that's concerning. Have a lot of Hallmark movies on Vudu and I wish they were all MA but as Hallmark uses so many different distributors..that's kinda unlikely to happen.
