Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Finding Father Christmas premiered Sunday on the Hallmark M&M channel. It replays today at 1pm, Wednesday at 7pm and Friday at 5pm.

http://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysterie...ther-christmas

Christmas for Miranda is a painful reminder of the family she never had. Her mother died when she was young, never revealing the identity of her father. But, three days before Christmas, she unexpectedly receives a clue as to the whereabouts that takes her to a beautiful New England town where she meets Ian, a young man who helps with her search. As the clues lead to her father's identity and Miranda discovers the possibility of love in Ian, and she learns that her father lived in the small town and now she knows his family (her brother and her biological father's wife). She faces a terrible decision... Should she share the truth and risk losing the family she has just found, or leave and keep the secret forever? This Christmas promises to be life-changing for Miranda with a new chance at life and love.

Starring: Erin Krakow, Niall Matter and Wendy Malick.

This one looks really good. Both lead actors are great.
I did enjoy this one a lot...it helps that I am a big Lori Loughlin fan, and I also typically enjoy Colin Ferguson (I still miss Eureka, one of the better genre shows that came down the pike).

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

So I got up this morning and bought Christmas Cookies and A Wish for Christmas at Walmart, but ran into a problem using the digital copy codes. The Code for A Wish for Christmas isn't the Hallmark movie, but this one instead.

That is likely Vudu's mistake. You could probably get it fixed by contacting Vudu's terrible customer service.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Folks, do not forget to check your listings for an original Hallmark film each night from the 23rd to the 27th because Hallmark is having another Five Night Thanksgiving Movie Event. They all look like Christmas themed films, as I was hoping for at least one actual Thanksgiving themed film but I will take what I can get...I love Hallmark's Countdown To Christmas, woo hoo!!

Looks like they fixed it. I just redeemed my code and it gave me the correct Lacey Chabert version.

There's a couple threads about it in the official Vudu forum, and the customer support is aware of the problem. So if you contact them, they'll fix it.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Watched Christmas Magic this weekend, starring Lindy Booth from The Librarians. She's adorable. I liked the 'twist' at the end.

ETA--also watched over the weekend:

Crown for Christmas - starring my old crush, Winnie Cooper--I mean, Danica McKellar. Cute movie.

The Christmas Ornament - starring Kellie Martin. Man, I almost didn't recognize her--the last time I saw her was when she was on ER.

Mistletoe Over Manhattan - starring the goddess Tricia Helfer. Pretty weak movie, though.

Watched Snow Bride last night, starring Katrina Law. I liked it, and I hope Law does another one of these Hallmark holiday movies some day.

She also did a professional shopper Christmas movie. 12 gifts of Christmas I think? Really enjoy her as well.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I missed a couple movies last weekend.

A December Bride was on the Hallmark Channel. If you missed it, it'll replay on Thanksgiving day at 6pm and this Saturday at 4pm.

Aspiring interior designer Layla is dreading the Christmastime wedding of her cousin who’s marrying Layla’s ex-fiancé. Although Seth is the one responsible for introducing the bride and groom, she begrudgingly accepts his offer to be her date as she’s out of options. Seth gets carried away at the reception and announces they’re engaged, forcing a mortified Layla to keep up the pretense.

Starring: Daniel Lissing and Jessica Lowndes.

Operation Christmas was on Hallmark M&M. It'll replay on Thanksgiving day at 5pm and Saturday at 6pm.

http://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysterie...tion-christmas

As her new romance blossoms, a single mother is dismayed when her boyfriend, a military sergeant, is deployed right before Christmas. Determined to not let it ruin the holidays for her and her children they decide to give back to the struggling military families on his base and, as their efforts go viral, they are rewarded in ways they never imagined.

Starring: Tricia Helfer and Marc Blucas.

Broadcasting Christmas premieres on the Hallmark Channel tonight at 8pm.

When her on-air partner decides to depart America’s favorite morning show, Veronika Daniels announces that she will be choosing her new co-host from a handful of candidates that includes Charlie Fisher, a local NY newscaster who is the son of a broadcasting legend. However, when Emily Morgan, a human interest reporter for the local Connecticut station, makes an impassioned on-air plea to be considered for the job, the game changes for everyone as video of Emily’s declaration goes viral and the network brass decide to put her in the running. Veronika delights in the healthy competition she sees brewing, and encourages the candidates to bring their A game in the segments and stories they do between now and the Christmas Day Telethon, when she will announce her choice. As the competition narrows, and it becomes clear that either Charlie or Emily are going to get the job, they begin to rediscover a spark between them that started long ago.

Starring: Dean Cain, Melissa Joan Hart and Jackée Harry.
This should be a good one. MJH and Dean Cain look like a great pairing.

This movie was smooth, predictable and entertaining. Probably the second-best of the new Hallmark movies I've seen this season.

The Mistletoe Promise with Jaime King was very average and less romantic than usual. The premise takes a strange turn near the finale and ends in an awkward finish. I would have liked it more with a complete re-write of the final 30 minutes.

This is the annual Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. So it should be pretty good. It's got a great cast.

I agree, it was just average. The main problem was the male lead. He had zero charisma. Just a wooden guy standing around looking handsome.

I agree, that was one of the better movies this year. I think one of the main reasons that movie worked so well, was due to the male lead. He was very charming.

The best movies have some chemistry between the two leads. You can't just pair a popular actress with a cardboard cutout guy.

A WWII era nurse is transported in time to 2016 and meets a man who helps her discover the bonds of family and that the true meaning of Christmas is timeless.

Starring: Candace Cameron Bure, Oliver Hudson and Tom Skerritt.
I hope it's good. Candace Cameron Bure was in one of my favorite HMC Christmas movies "Christmas Under Wraps". If you haven't seen that one, definitely check it out.
