I missed a couple movies last weekend.
A December Bride was on the Hallmark Channel. If you missed it, it'll replay on Thanksgiving day at 6pm and this Saturday at 4pm.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
I was going to watch a few of the blu rays I picked up on sale that I had not seen in theaters, but I had all of those Thanksgiving 5 day event films to catch up on, plus the ones that aired on Sat/Sun, so I binged the Hallmark (and some UP channel) Christmas films. Christmas List, The Rooftop Christmas Tree (UP), December Bride, I'll Be Home For Christmas, Broadcasting Christmas, Christmas In Homestead, Falling For Christmas (UP).
They were all pretty good, and yeah...I watched 7 Christmas themed Hallmark / UP network films over the course of 2 days (at least 3 yesterday). I need to double check the Lifetime Network as they used to have at least 2 to 3 Christmas Originals in years past, but other than the films about those wacky women who stalk their wanna be boyfriends, or whatever, it has been pretty weak sauce this year.
Edited to add: Okay, the It's A Wonderful Movie blog confirms that Lifetime bascially skipped showing holiday originals, bummer, but between UP, Hallmark and even ION I am still as happy as a pig in the poke.

I agree, that was one of the better movies this year. I think one of the main reasons that movie worked so well, was due to the male lead. He was very charming.
The best movies have some chemistry between the two leads. You can't just pair a popular actress with a cardboard cutout guy.

Christmas in Homestead was very watchable despite the somewhat bland male lead. The story was a bit ridiculous but fairly charming. A small-town inn owner brushes off advances from a famous actress, worried it's not "real."

recently watched:
Window Wonderland - starring Chyler Leigh. I liked it. Chyler's good, and the male lead actually had a lot of personality (though he bordered on annoying at times). Naomi Judd as the mom was fun.
Love Always, Santa - starring Marguerite Moreau. Pretty good. I've always had a thing for Moreau. The male lead was good and his publisher (or agent?) friend was funny. The kid was cute.

I bought it yesterday, but I have yet to watch it. Of the new movies this year, I would say Christmas Cookies has been my favorite. I am watching my first Alicia Witt movie right now A Very Merry Mix Up.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
I haven't seen any of those movies in store, if you order them online through Wal Mart I would say there's a good chance of them having VUDU codes.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
I'm a bit constrained on my budget and in my time, but have picked up a couple so far at WM (like A Wish for Christmas and A Christmas Melody), and ordered Charming Christmas when it was under $8 at Amazon, so hopefully can check that out soon after it arrives.
I don't, sorry. But I see that the first 2 aren't available at Best Buy, or sold directly from Amazon, so I'm guessing that they are WM exclusives (at least initially), and so would have a higher chance of Vudu codes. Charming Christmas was released elsewhere (such as Amazon) on the same day as WM, so it seems to me like there's a higher chance that there might be only one version, without Vudu. Again, I'm just guessing, as I haven't seen them in-store yet either.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
If anyone is just in for the digital versions, Vudu has:
Hallmark Vol 6 which includes "A Very Merry Mix-Up", "Hitched for the Holidays", "The Christmas Ornament", "Come Dance With Me" for $12.99.
A Bundle of "Christmas Cookies" and "Every Christmas Has a Story" for $12.99.
A Bundle of "Christmas Under Wraps" and "A Wish for Christmas" for $12.99.
"Nine Lives of Christmas" for $6.99.
"Ice Sculpture Christmas" for $6.99.
I'm sure there are others, but these are ones I noticed while perusing.

Usually some of those Hallmark movies are in the annual Christmas sale. So you might want to wait a week or two.

I watched Catch A Christmas Star last night, starring Shannon Elizabeth as a pop star who starts dating an average Joe.
Not one of the better ones, IMO. Kind of a mash-up of Notting Hill and Jersey Girl. Shannon Elizabeth is as gorgeous as ever, though, so that made it worth while for me. But they probably should have dubbed in a real singer's voice for the songs.

Just finished Christmas List, the new Alicia Witt movie.
I liked it. Witt is my favorite actress for these kinds of movies--glad she keeps making them.

I really liked A Very Merry Mix-up, and I am on my next Alicia Witt movie Christmas at the Cartwright's. I am starting to lose count on the number of Hallmark movies I am trying to watch. The great thing though is I am finding a lot of these movies on youtube, along with buying the dvds.

I do wish the hallmark channel would stop with the countdown clock to the next movie in the lower left.. A lot of real estate clogging up the screen

Love Always, Santa is a sweet movie. It clips along at a swift pace and the likable cast delivers, including the little girl. It balances the romance with Christmas themes very well.
Journey Back To Christmas with Candace Cameron was average. I'll admit I am not her biggest fan and was mostly watching because it had Brooke Nevin in a side role. A widow from 1945 wakes up in 2016, spreading Christmas cheer to a cop's family.

I watched this last night.
I really enjoyed it. Great chemistry with Davis and McCormack. It's very fluffy and syrupy, but I enjoyed it as a feel good movie for this time of the year.
Not really a big fan of Kristin Davis, but she was super likable in this movie. I also enjoyed her interactions with Shirley MacLaine.
It re-airs tonight at 10pm ET and Wednesday at 6pm ET for those who want to catch it.

If so, Why don't you subscribe to Hallmark's streaming channel Feeln?
https://www.feeln.com/prices-membership
It's only $6/month and most of Hallmark's Christmas movies are on there. New and Old.
You could stream to your hearts delight for the 2+ months and then cancel. It would save you money from buying DVDs that you would only watch once.
And the service is Ad-free as well.
I already get the Hallmark channel, so I don't need it. But just throwing this out there for someone like you who doesn't have cable.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
Just saw Journey back to Christmas tonight.
I liked it. It had some sweet and heartwarming moments. I think Oliver Hudson and Brooke Nevin overshadowed Candace Cameron Bure. Aside from the opening sequence in the 1940's, she was really relegated to being a supporting character.
A "time travel" movie like this really stretches the whole concept. You really just have to go with it and not overthink it. But, I thought as a Holiday movie about Christmas miracles, it worked.
