Supernatural (S10E08) -- "Hibbing 911" -- 12/2/14
JODY MILLS RETURNS - Jody Mills (guest star Kim Rhodes) reluctantly attends a mandatory sheriff's retreat and is partnered with an overeager sheriff named Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) who wants to bond. Just as Jody thinks things can't get any worse, a body with just strings of meat and skin hanging off the bones is discovered. While the local sheriffs blame an animal attack, Jody knows better and calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Tim Andrew directed this episode with teleplay by Jenny Klein and story by Jenny Klein & Phil Sgriccia (#1008). Original airdate 12/2/2014.

Enjoyable episode. Thought it was a cop-out that the vamps killed the sheriff that they had come all of that way to bring back into the fold. Would have been more interesting for Sam and Dean to have had to figure out what to do with him after the others were killed. Bad vamp gone good.

I thought vampire lacked free will and were under the control of whoever made them. Since the cop made the hippy vampire why was she able to kill him?

Didn't care for this one. Not bad, just meh. The show's story still badly needs to get in gear.
I liked the lady cops and I thought there was some decent chemistry between them although it played out pretty much by the numbers. The only thing missing was Fargo standing up to the ex.

It was good to see Jody back, but this was just a so-so episode. one of the weaker monster of the week plots.

I have to say they still have great chemistry together. I just wonder how they will do the series finale justice. It's going to be rough or just silly I think.

The appearances by Jody Mills don't do much for me, I was skipping through this episode when I realized it was one of those episodes made so Sam and Dean have as little work as possible on screen.
