It definitely worked as a season finale. It was nice to see some resolution to a few things. Wish they had spread some of this out to some earlier episodes. If it comes back I will watch, but if it doesn't I won't be broken up about it.

I really enjoyed the season and I'll be disappointed if it doesn't return. I'm interested to see where they take things next.

Thought it was a great end for a season with an unknown future. Wrapped up most things that went on during S1 and they were literally on their way to the next chapter. Couldn't make out where he said that would be though when the answer to "off to America" was "no".

Only disappointment was that some people, like Strange, got off far too easy.

Thanks. Turns out I might have heard him correctly and just had never heard of it. Maybe I missed where the had mentioned that location earlier in the series.

Talk about a slow burn. I never felt compelled to post here after an episode because I wasn't really sure what I just saw in the last episode.

I just assumed the supernatural was going to eventually take this to a Marvel comic level at one point. I'm glad it didn't actually.

I wasn't thinking anywhere near Marvel comic, but I did think it'd be a little more like Penny Dreadful (though obviously nowhere near that level of supernatural influence).

I ended the season not understanding some things, and it made me feel like I wasted my time watching them. They'd have benefitted from more payoff on the supernatural side of things. Just enough to make people trust that following that aspect of the story will eventually pay off.

Thought this series was terrific. It was an odd show in that in so much did not hold your hand that sometimes it seemed like you had no idea what was going on, but it all came together really well in the end. Odd that in a show as relentlessly bleak as this I came to care for and even like quite a few of the characters. Hope it is renewed for second season.

Yeah, I'm still sort of spinning my wheels on what we all witnessed over the last several weeks. So many different ways to describe this show it's difficult to pin down. I thought the finale was pretty good and yeah, I too wish they explored the supernatural angle a bit more. Anyway, I am hoping it gets renewed for another season.

Spoiler:
I loved it. Couple thoughts/questions.

1. What evidence was there that dumbarton was a double agent? I believe when Delaney found out the countess did not know of dumbarton's plan for the gun powder that James assumed the only other player could be the eic. Was there anything else exposing Dumbarton?

2. Obviously brace ended up being relieved in a sense that the man who lived in the attic and boarded up windows did not become his father and spread his wings and left the dark place. But was delaney leaving him punishment for killing his father or did he truly believe the trip and journey would be too great for him?

thought it might be in jeopardy based on the low ratings in the UK.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if this would be renewed. Would be great if Knight can fulfill his 3-season vision.

Love this show.

Spoiler:
I loved when Pryce and his henchmen got what was coming to them.

Hopefully they take the opportunity to tighten the story up a bit. For instance, just drop the supernatural nonsense and I will gladly play along like it never happened.

Finally binged through the last half this weekend! I couldn't take the week to week viewing on this one and just hadn't had a chance to get back to it.

Sad that Jonathan Pryce won't be back next season. What does his death do to the East India Company? Will we get a new leader or does the Company fade away?

I would imagine that a good part, if not all, of the next season will take place elsewhere and the East India will be mentioned in name only.

This is already out in the UK and can be gotten for about $20 and change shipped to the USA. It may be region B, because Studio Canal is the distributor.

I'd link it, but it may take you to the American Amazon site instead so just had over to the UK site directly.

Shit, I'm also late. This was released in the UK way back on May 29th.
