Butters thinks he's living in a virtual reality.

Fun episode. And no topical satire. Unless I'm missing something about VR right now.

Sony also has one in the works, currently known as Project Morpheus.

This seems like the kind of episode they could have created any time in the past two years and released it any time in the next 12 months.
Not that I'm complaining about it, but when I think of South Park topical episodes, the topic is usually something immediately relevant.

The call center guy was amusing, especially when he got the call from his virtual self. (or vice versa, not sure which one was real)

The riff on phone customer service was inspired and hilarious. I was nervous this story was going to have no punchline and drift into meaninglessness, but I thought the set-up did get paid off in the end.

Even though the Oculus was used the episode was more about VR/dream tropes in general.
I like what they did here. It was a slow build that eventually defied any logic, but still didn't go completely off the rails. I also liked the "oh, fuck you" gag when obvious references/puns were made.
PS. The line about customer service being more about how the rep acted than solving the issue was dead on. I worked phone tech support many years ago and when it came to quality assurance evaluations actually resolving the issue was not a factor at all.

This was a really funny episode. Loved Butters punching his dad in the balls and then hearing his Grand Theft Auto escapades.
