Still the best show on TV.

I keep falling asleep during The Blacklist. I may need to just wait to watch it instead of watching it live.

Re: The Blacklist (S2E05) -- "The Front" -- 10/20/14
the concept of this episode could have supported a multi-episode arc and been much more satisfying

I missed most of this episode. What was the significance of the key in the bottle at the end?

I'm not arguing, I'm just curious as to what you're referring to. |

I may have used the wrong term. But I just found this episode lazy, using the current Ebola scare as some sort of underlying backdrop for this episode. Plus way to go on giving the terrorists an idea.
Also, pneumonic plague is completely treatable with antibiotics, and a hundreds-years old version would likely have zero resistance to any antibiotics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumon..._and_treatment Pneumonic plague is a very aggressive infection requiring early treatment. Antibiotics must be given within 24 hours of first symptoms to reduce the risk of death. Streptomycin, gentamicin, tetracyclines and chloramphenicol are all effective against pneumonic plague. Antibiotic treatment for 7 days will protect people who have had direct, close contact with infected patients. Wearing a close-fitting surgical mask also protects against infection. Edit: It should also be noted that the last pneumonic plague scare in the US was in July 2014, so that was likely the inspiration for this episode, not the Ebola outbreak. http://www.cpr.org/news/story/3-more...dentified-colo

It's explained in the next episode. With the exception of the Keen/Red relationship, the show doesn't usually drag out things like that.
