Marry Me (NBC) - S: Casey Wilson, Ken Marino - Season 1 Thread -- Starts 10/14/14

Six years ago, Annie (Casey Wilson, "Happy Endings") and Jake (Ken Marino, "Eastbound & Down") bonded over their mutual love of nachos and they have been inseparable ever since.

Now, after returning from a romantic two-week island vacation, Jake's all set to pop the question. Before he can ask, though, Annie lets loose on Jake for his inability to commit. She was expecting him to "put a ring on it" in paradise and now Jake's perfect proposal is ruined. Not wanting to spend the next 60 years talking about that mess of a proposal, Jake and Annie decide to hold off on the engagement until they can do it right. Yet if history tells us anything, it's when we really want things to go right that they all tend to go wrong.

The only thing we know for sure is these two are destined to be together - whether they can get it together or not.

The cast also includes Sarah Wright (as Dennah), John Gemberling (as Gil), Tymberlee Hill (as Kay) and Tim Meadows (as Kevin 1).

Writer David Caspe ("Happy Endings") and director Seth Gordon ("The Goldbergs") serve as executive producers with Jamie Tarses ("Men at Work"). "Marry Me" is a production of Sony Pictures Television and FanFare Productions.

FYI, this is from the creator of Happy Endings David Caspe, who is also married to Casey Wilson.

At least Casey Wilson is someone that should be headlining a show, and this isn't a Rob Zombie situation where his wife shouldn't be the lead of any movies.

See Mann, Leslie. Her best role to date is still the girl who threw up on Steve Carrel in 40YOV.

Love Casey Wilson, think that Marino is overrated, but I'll give it a try. Loved Happy Endings.

Well, if Happy Endings is anything to go by, this will start off just alright, and get good half-way through the first season, and then come out firing on all engines in it's second season.

Loved this premiere. Lots of good scenes. Casey Wilson is gold.

Didn't care for the poor-man's zach galifianakis.

I liked it. Casey Wilson sort of carried the comedy singlehandedly. Ken Marino played more of the straight man role than I was expecting, but he played off Casey's craziness well. Not sold on the bearded buddy... he seems miscast for what they are going for.

It was a hilarious sitcom from a couple years ago that ran for 3 seasons. Not unlike Friends, but wackier and way more funny. Although one of the characters was gay, so you'd hate it.

I liked the leads, but the supporting cast kinda sucks. The gay dads were OK with that whole "which one is the biological dad" gag.

I also got a Mad About You vibe to it. I agree on the supporting cast.
