Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) returns to Atlantic City with vengeance on his mind. Concerned about the ongoing threat from Luciano (Vincent Piazza), Nucky (Steve Buscemi) arranges a meeting with Maranzano (Giampiero Judica) in New York. In Chicago, Eli's (Shea Whigham) reunion with June (Nisi Sturgis) takes an unexpected turn after a dinner party hosted by Van Alden (Michael Shannon) and Sigrid (Christiane Seidel). Capone (Stephen Graham) looks to relocate his operation out of Chicago; Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) completes a deal with Carolyn Rothstein (Shae D'Lyn); Nucky gets bad news from Cuba. In 1897, young Nucky (Marc Pickering) looks to win over Mabel's father (Burke Moses) while asking for expanded responsibilities as deputy sheriff. Written by Steve Kornacki; directed by Ed Bianchi. |

Can't wait to see the dinner party hosted by the Van Aldens.

Young Nucky's teeth ruined things for me. I don't think knowing Mickey's #2's name tells us anything about his fate.
While I'm digging new Margaret (in small doses), please no more Gretchen Mol! Who's the woman in the preview for next week? |

Young Nucky's teeth ruined things for me. Those things look like they were bought at a "Halloween USA". |

"that would sound better much farther away"
Weird thought: is Gillian Nucky's daughter? |

Weird thought: is Gillian Nucky's daughter? I think it's more likely that Nucky is Jimmy's father. Nucky is 12 years older than Gillian so it seems like the timeline is now at the point where that could happen. |

Van Alden has been my favorite character this season. His delivery is gold.
Sigrid: Husband! Van Alden: Coming dear! Eli: Look, I don't know about you, but my life is a fuckin' shipwreck. Van Alden: Well land-ho. |

Not sure exactly who you are talking about but maybe you are thinking of Daughter?
And yes, Van Alden is his usual amazing self this season. |

Oh yeah, almost forgot about that discussion.
Eli: The event you’re thinking about? It was an accident. Van Alden: You mean like a streetcar hitting a horse? A man getting his head crushed in a metal press? A gas explosion in which bystanders are literally torn limb from limb? That’s what your having sexual relations with my wife was like? |

Good episode, but I agree about the teeth. WTF were they thinking? Other than that, the actor did a good job with some of Nucky's expressions and mannerisms.
Looks like I was wrong about Chalky, at least so far. |
