The baseball game after he would die was mentioned earlier in the season and since then I figured that's what they'd end with and they pretty much did.

I remember when this show first started I thought it was a shame they were playing brother and sister since they had so much chemistry on screen together. Then not too much later they started dating in real life and I thought that made perfect sense.

Didn't the FNL finale have them walking off a football field? In Katims' next show, maybe he can incorporate hockey or basketball.
Anyway, great finale. The flash-forward was very well done. Will miss this show.
Also, kudos to NBC for giving us 6 seasons. This was never a big ratings hit, so am glad someone at the network loved this show as much as we did.

One of the most predictable finales ever, but they still did a great job with it. Only thing we didn't know would happen before it did was a sister for Victor suddenly becoming available. Even that made sense and worked as a way for that family to go forward rather than dwell on the past.

Craig T. Nelson seems a little mad, brah.

I have to agree with him that it shouldn't have been canceled, but they did wrap it up perfectly. It just reminded me how awesome FNL was in terms of series ending and had to watch that again.

I agree with him on pretty much every point except one -- if a show isn't pulling numbers, it doesn't "deserve" to stay on TV. For everything else he said, I'm Team Zeek.

Did anyone else get a laugh out of "the slap" promo while the credits were shrinked at the end of the series finale? Right after parenthood ends it goes to a clip of a guy slapping a kid Just totally pulled me out of the moment.
