I hope they don't drag the Cary/drug-charge thing longer than one more episode. It's really contrived.

All sorts of goodness in a premiere that rewards the longtime viewer. LOVED IT!

Kelli Giddish taking a break from SVU to reprise her role as Kalinda's best female fling

OUCH to Cary's dad and his measly contribution to his bail.

+ Eli's daughter providing the running commentary between Peter and the no-panty intern
+ That far away shot of Canning & David Lee in the doorway while Alicia paid a visit to LG...that tug-o-war with keeping clients continues and those two have an upper hand so far.

I'm speechless. For what is supposed to be one of the smartest and best written series, that was astonishingly bad. Ridiculous plots.

I can overlook some implausibilities, but the whole deal with Cary's arrest was crap. No real Police dept. and court would treat a guy with no priors like a hardened criminal and then get sent to a prison block with them too?

at Mr. Roja's "donation" for Cary's bail at the nudging of Bishop of course. How stupid do they think the court is? Of course that will raise a red flag.

And the whole nonsense office shenanigans with the intern with no panties. Really?

Really bad start to the new season. I think Robert and Michelle King were drunk when they wrote this script.

Yeah, I think they were trying to show the realities of being arrested and going to prison, only problem is that they depicted Cary's arrest as if he were some poor minority - arresting a rich white dude with no priors (no to mention, someone who used to work for the DA office AND is partners with the Governor's wife), would go down MUCH different.

The being partners with the Governor's wife might have been a negative in this case. Given what they think they have, it would be a bad move on the Governor to intervene.
